Ante todo un gran saludo apreciados amigos de hivemotors, para mí es un gran placer saludarlos, después de algún tiempo sin publicar. Sin embargo, he visitado un poco la comunidad. Para mí ha sido un reto estar ausente 😢, pero ya volví 😊, espero sea por un largo tiempo.

La mecánica para mí, siempre ha sido un tema de interés, la experiencia que se adquiere en cada uno de los trabajos son de gran valor. De allí, que está semana por fin hemos vuelto hacerle arreglos en casa al Sierra. Realmente lo hemos tenido abandonado por algunas razones entre esas poco tiempo disponible.

Una de las principales tareas realizadas fue quitar el tanque de gasolina para hacerle mantenimiento, por lo que se encontraron muchos residuos. Luego de haberlo limpiado se hizo la instalación, colocarle gasolina al tanque. Al darle encender no llegaba la gasolina al carburador.

The mechanics for me, has always been a topic of interest, the experience gained in each of the jobs are of great value. Hence, this week we have finally returned to make repairs at home to the Sierra. We have really had it abandoned for some reasons among those little time available.

One of the main tasks performed was to remove the gas tank for maintenance, for which many residues were found. After cleaning it, the installation was done and the gas tank was filled with gas. When the engine was turned on, gasoline did not reach the carburetor.

Posiblemente el tiempo sin darle uso, no mandaba. Por lo que se le suministro energía directa de la batería. Para esto quitamos la batería del carro, buscamos dos cables, dos envases, gasolina y una manguera.

Se le colocaron los cables a los contactos de la bomba una para el positivo y el otro para el negativo de la batería.

Possibly the time without using it, it was not in charge. Therefore, it was supplied with energy directly from the battery. For this we removed the battery from the car, we looked for two cables, two containers, gasoline and a hose.

The cables were placed to the contacts of the pump, one for the positive and the other for the negative of the battery.

Se le colocó suficiente gasolina a un envase, luego se aprovechó la boquilla de entrada de gasolina de la bomba para colocarle la manguera y en otro extremo (por la salida de gasolina de la bomba) el filtro universal. En la otra punta de la manguera debe estar sumergida en el envase con gasolina.

Para realizar esta prueba se necesita una mano amiga para poder sujetar la bomba y a su vez colocar los cables en la batería.

Sufficient gasoline was placed in a container, then the gasoline inlet nozzle of the pump was used to place the hose and at the other end (at the gasoline outlet of the pump) the universal filter. The other end of the hose should be submerged in the container with gasoline.

To carry out this test a helping hand is needed to be able to hold the pump and at the same time to place the cables in the battery.

El realizar este tipo de prueba permitió por decirlo de algún modo "purgar" la bomba, luego instalamos junto con el filtro de gasolina universal, el cuál se pudo corroborar que llegaba el fluido de gasolina al carburador. De allí, que prendió en el primer intento. 👍
