Esperando que tengan un lindo inicio de semana y también aprovecho para saludar a todas y todos quienes hacen vida en la comunidad. Luego de pasar algún tiempo de no publicar por aquí, he querido compartir la confección de un vestido que elaboré para mi hija.

Siempre me a gustado apartar tiempo para cocer, pero realmente tenia tiempo que no me sentaba frente a mi máquina, y no es porque no me guste. La principal razón, es que no puedo estar mucho tiempo sentada cociendo. El problema es que: cuando comienzo a realizar una costura, no quiero parar hasta que termine, de ser posible el mismo día, pero sencillamente no aguanto 😞 y al final siento un intenso dolor de espalda que me deja inhabilitada para realizar otra actividad 😣 y esa situación me desanima.

Sin embargo, esta semana mi hija ha estado quebrantada de salud y eso me ha permitido estar más en casa. Así que aproveché el tiempo para consentirla y confeccionar un vestido para ella.

Use los siguientes materiales:
Tijera, telas de encaje, muselina y use tela suelta para la falda, cinta métrica, hilo, alfileres, aguja y cierre de 20cm. Esta vez trabaje sin patrones, solo medidas sobre tela.

I always like to set aside time to sew, but I haven't really sat in front of my machine for a long time, and it's not because I don't like it. The main reason is that I can't sit for too long when I'm baking. The problem is: when I start sewing, I don't want to stop until I finish, if possible the same day, but I simply can't stand it 😞 and in the end I feel an intense back pain that leaves me unable to do any other activity 😣 and that situation discourages me.

However, this week my daughter's health has been broken and that has allowed me to be at home more. So I took advantage of the time to spoil her and make a dress for her.

Use the following materials:.
Scissors, lace fabrics, muslin and use loose fabric for the skirt, measuring tape, thread, pins, needle and 20cm zip. This time I worked without patterns, only measurements on fabric.

Luego de tener las medidas, comencé por medir y cortar la parte superior del vestido. Hice una sola pieza larga de 64 CM de ancho y 20 de largo (estás medidas las use tanto para la tela de encaje como para la muselina).

After I had the measurements, I started by measuring and cutting the top of the dress. I made a single long piece 64 CM wide and 20 CM long (I used these measurements for both the lace fabric and the muslin).

Luego continúe con la parte inferior, es decir la falta, puesta parte me llevaría más tiempo. Esta tela tiene unas líneas verticales que fueron mis aliadas las aproveche y resultaron de gran ayuda para hacer los pliegos (a mano) de 4,5 CM cada uno sin dejar espacios entre ellos, así como se muestran en las fotografías.

This fabric has some vertical lines that were my allies, I took advantage of them and they were a great help to make the folds (by hand) of 4.5 CM each one without leaving spaces between them, as shown in the photographs.

Ya teniendo la falda lista con los pliegos . Continúe uniendo la muselina con la tela de encaje por la parte revés de la tela para que al darle vuelta ocultar la costura, pero está vez con la máquina.

Once the skirt is ready with the pleats. Continue to join the muslin with the lace fabric on the reverse side of the fabric so that the seam is hidden when you turn it over, but this time with the machine.

Junte ambas piezas con alfileres para fijarlas y pasar la costura con la máquina.

Ya teniendo unidas ambas piezas, pase la costura para unir los extremos de la falda y luego fijé el cierre por la parte trasera del vestido.

También para hacerle tirantes al vestido, corte dos tiras de muselina de 6 CM de ancho y 26 CM de largo. Las fijé con alfileres, coci y las volteé para ocultar la costura.

Also to make straps for the dress, I cut two strips of muslin 6 CM wide and 26 CM long. I pinned, sewed and turned them over to hide the seam.

Para no dejarlos simples y con tanto escote, corte unas tiras de la tela de la falda. Para cocer haciendo pequeños pliegues.

La desventaja es que mi máquina solo cose recto así que hay que asegurarse que las costuras queden bien hechas y la tela no se deshile.

Ya tengo listos los tirantes asi que las uno al vestido con la máquina, midiendo con la cinta métrica para que tengan la misma medida.

The disadvantage is that my machine only sews straight, so you have to make sure that the seams are well made and the fabric doesn't unravel.

I have the straps ready so I join them to the dress with the machine, measuring with the tape measure so that they are the same size.

Y para finalizar le coloque un adorno de encaje en la parte final de la falda.
