A Day of Celebration

Last Friday November 4, 2022, my "Ate" which was my first degree cousin chatted me asking if I have work on Saturday and I said yes because my only day off was during Sunday. And then she told me that I should visit them in Makati so that we can celebrate the birthday of her sister and also to my deceased brother on Sunday. They have exact same birthdays. And I told her that I will be there Saturday evening.

After my work was over I just rested for an hour while talking to my girlfriend and prepared myself and left afterwards at past 6:00 in the evening. I waited and rode a jeepney in Rosario Pasig going to Robinsons Place Galleria Edsa.

When I arrived at Robinson Place, I walked along the Edsa up to the MRT Ortigas Station so that I can ride again a Carousel Bus going to Ayala Station. I chose to ride the bus because it is more convenient and faster for me than the MRT.

At the Ayala Station I rode again a jeep going to Washington Makati where my cousins live right now. I arrived there past 8:00 PM already. As expected, the bonding of the cousins playing Mobile Legends after eating our dinner and decided to rest for the whole night afterwards.

They woke up early in the morning while me I'm still lying in bed because the room is too dark and cold due to the aircon. Angelo and my Aunt prepared to cook the shrimps, the Pancit and the Spaghetti while my Ate prepared for the flavored chickens and the sweet and sour fish (escabeche). While they are at it, me and my younger sister decided to buy soft drinks and some young coconuts for buko salad as well as the needed ingredients for it.

While waiting for everything to be ready, we had another set of ML games together with my cousins and as well as waiting for one of my cousins to come home for his half day work. When he arrives we help each other to arrange the foods on the table and the celebration has started.

First up, we rendered a birthday song for the celebrant and after that she blows the candle on her birthday cake and took pictures together and then the partaking of food follows. After that we had a chit-chat serves as our past time then I decided to take a nap for I also planned to go back to my boarding house and take off the night travel instead of waking up at dawn wherein a road traffic will just welcome me.

Around 5:00 PM I decided to pack all of my things and bid goodbyes to my Aunts and cousins. Fast forward, I arrived at the boarding house past 8:00 PM. After which I spend the rest of my night with my girlfriend.

On the other hand, with regards to my deceased brother's birthday my family decided to have a small birthday celebration at the Province.
Happy Birthday my brother in heaven and Ate Ghie2x.

Ending Thoughts

It was one of my memorable experience together with my family here in Manila. With that event I was able to escape from the reality of the exhaustion brought by my work. I was happy with the experiences and I really treasured it.
