As long as the attacker stands up, he can do many things to attack you and you might find a hard time controlling the situation. If it is not something serious, you can push the attacker and move in another way.

But in case the attacker is aggressive and keep attacking you, you have to stop him. To defend yourself, you can sweep the attacker's leg and make him fall on the ground.

When you are so close to the attacker and grab each other that you watched in the above video, the attacker will not let you go easily. He might grab you tight when you make him fall. So make you sure when the attacker goes down, do not go with him.

It might seem easy to make someone fall on the ground, but if you do not know how to do it, you cannot do that. You can hit the attacker's leg hard, but he will stand there.

If you want to hurt the attacker, you should kick the attacker's leg a little higher. If you want to make him fall on the ground, you need to kick low near his ankle. You have to make your move to lose his balance. Then you can do what you want easily.
