Harbor Protocol Exploited and Hacked

Harbor Protocol, an Interchain stablecoin protocol on the Comdex chain, was exploited and hacked recently. It does not feel good to see any negative bad news. Harbor Protocol is built on the Cosmos platform. There has been a security breach and hackers got access to the protocol. Hackers exploited and stole funds from its stable-mint, as well as stOSMO, LUNA, and WMATIC vaults. It is not confirmed yet how much funds hackers drained from the vaults. The Harbor team has been working on it and estimating the total loss.

Hackers used this address comdex1sma0ntw7fq3fpux8suxkm9h8y642fuqt0ujwt5 at the time of exploiting the protocol. It is unexpected to go through this. The attackers always take advantage of any vulnerability they find and hack to steal crypto assets.

People get into crypto because they find the freedom and control over their finances that they might not get in the existing financial system. When you hold your crypto and keep your private keys secure, no one can get your crypto.

Harbor protocol is not the only one that exploited recently. Decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols Exactly was exploited and hacked as well which causes to loss of $7.3 million. The Exactly team try to communicate with the attackers with a view to recovering the stolen funds.

It is sad to see that crypto assets are stolen and the attackers are in control. Hope they fix any possible vulnerability of the protocol and strengthen the security. That is the most important part to build anything in crypto. Otherwise, no matter how popular a crypto platform is, it will take no time to collapse.

The Harbor team tweeted on social media platform X. They will inform the community about the progress as it happens. They also try to draw the attackers' attention, in case there is any way to find a solution, they are open to talking with the attackers. They are working to trace the funds so that they can necessary steps later.
