Long Term Life Plans... Time to Stop Making Excuses!

As usual I didn't win £100K on this month's premium bonds: that is the amount I'd need to sort me out for life.

NB I never expect to win on the bonds, but I got to thinking recently, if I did win, then what would I actually do with myself...?

And actually the things I'd prioritise are moving to more of an off-grid setting, meditating more and a lot more soft-meditation.

In terms of giving up stuff, I'd look to spend a lot more time offline too!

There's not a lot stopping me doing A LOT of this right now!

Then I got to thinking (I must have been feeling in a positive mood here) - actually I can start doing a lot of what I would intend to do more and stop doing a lot of what I intend to do less, now, WITHOUT £100K in the bank.

O.K. so without £100K I can't afford to buy me some serious land in the U.K. Or a van that I'd like, but what I can do is work the allotment and small back garden area more effectively and efficiently. I'm thinking GREENS and soft fruits for next year.

No, this is not going to save me very much money, but it is something I can do!

And in terms of meditation and soft meditation, I've already touched on doing more of this. These go hand in hand with being offline, naturally.

I only need to be online really when at work, other than a quick check or two once or twice a day of email if I'm not working, besides that I COULD RIGHT NOW offline for probably 95% of my non-work hours, and not even really loose anything.

(If I count admin and Hive etc. as work, they are head-work).

And I could RIGHT NOW devote a lot more time to walks, meditation, yoga, working out, cleaning the damned house, doing allotment stuff (NOTE the synergy here), and so on!

In short.

It's time to stop making excuses, I have already arrived precisely where I need to be, in principle!

I won $120k 2 times, in 2017 and 2021. But I spent more than half on stupid things, as I wrote about in my last post.

winning isn't the hardest part, hardest part is to win and keep the money

You need that moment of pain, my friend, that one where you look in the mirror and tell yourself, enough with this shit.

Yeah the right amount of the right kind of pain is a good jolt!

But you have to be fully aware of it.

You would buy a good house in my country with that money.

I've never won the premium bonds but my parents do, frequently! Not the big bucks but 1k here and there, oh yeah. They do participate in it more though, my $20 investment there is never going to cut it!!

My music is a great way of escaping the computer and all online devices because I am building a synth system free of any actual PC or Mac, we call it DAWless, or free of software where of course those distractions are forever poking you in the ribs, c'mon read this thing about finance, oh now read this thing about cars oh and how about some politics? All in the space of 1 minute, it's no wonder we are all becoming stressed by it all.

So I love your outlook, I've a quiet work day I reckon today, so going to sneak out for a walk, take in some air, listen to the wind in the trees etc.

In the same way, if a person loses courage, then a person cannot use the next opportunities. If you don't win a prize this month, one day will surely come when you win a prize.

He's my sort of guy! I love the way those two musicians keep popping up, clearly the only two artists present when the video shoot was done for the day!
