From fragmentation to concentration....

It's occurred to me and my brain-thing of late that my life-experience has been somewhat fragmented recently....

What I mean by this is I tend to dip in and out of things, back and forth between this and that, rather than blocking out time to focus on one thing at a time.

Or rather failing to concentrate on one thing at a time during the periods of time I block out every day and week to concentrate on one-thing!

Visually, daily, it has sort of been more like the row above, what I need to try harder to do is to move more towards what is below, with more longer focus periods.....

What doesn't help...

I love Hive but being around the ecoystem is VERY fragmented... writing is focused enough, but then there's curating, replying to comments, add in Splinterlands and especially LAND, keeping up with SPS rentals, hive-engine and don't even get me started on Discord....

And then work... two lots of volunteering and Citizens' Advice is quite fragmented... very different cases, speaking to supervisors and clients, training, it's all over the place!

And my new job at NatCen - same - lots of training, speaking to the supervisor, and it hasn't even started yet, and the main blog is a lot of back and forwarding.

OK all of this is FINE, I quite like the busyness of it all, I can do this several hours a day and my head is fine.

But then when I'm not working, I'm dicking about on Hive, and just frittering about when I'm not, I think my work-life vibe is eating into my non-work life vibe.

I REALLY need to try hard to work in BLOCKS when I'm not working....

BLOCKING...

  • WORK = 8.30 TO 16.00 or thereabouts.
  • PRE-WORK = 6.15 - 8.30 - BLOCKS = COFFEE/ MEDITATE/ WORKOUT/ SHOWER AND PREP THE DAY. EASY!
  • 16.00 = MEDITATION/ YOGA SLOT.
  • 17.00 - 19.00 = CHILL, COOK EAT.
  • 19.00 = EVENING BLOCK = TIDY AND SIT AND DRUM.

I think the main change to my previous schedule is just shoving all the Hive duties into my working day, rather than letting that eat into my evening.

Basically I need my mornings and evenings to be a BIT MORE ZEN!

ALSO WITH WORK... No reason I can't block out a good couple of two hour slots to FOCUS every day on ONE THING AT A TIME, I've got quite bad at that lately too!

JUST A REMINDER TO MYSELF!!!

Now it's just a matter of DOING IT!!!
