Battle Challenge - Mimosa Nightshade - Great Summoner
Hello community, my daily Focus was on Death Splinter cards, so I decided to rent for the first time the Mimosa Nightshade Summoner among other summoners to help me in battles.
Death Splinter is fantastic because we have several Summoners with Debuff to opponent's attacks, the question is which one to use in each battle, because we can risk Debuff to Melee attacks and the opponent uses only Magic cards.
But with the new battle format it is more likely to understand what the opponent is going to use, and so having the right cards in our deck, we can overpower the opponent, but it's not all wonders, because in the same way, the opponent can prevent what we are going to use.
However, with Death Splinter, having several Summoners is less predictable to be predictable to the opponent, especially with the Legendary Summoners, and in this understanding I understood that Mimosa Nightshade is a very interesting Summoner because it has Debuff Ranged and Magic attacks besides causing Affliction preventing cards from being healed.
Affliction is an ability that some cards have but cause individually, while Mimosa Nightshade causes all cards in battle, and that makes a lot of difference.
Who hasn't lost battles with Earhquake or Poison rulesets where the opponent used Cornealus?
I've lost a few because it's hard to deal with negative effects when the opponent uses Heal or Tank Heal cards, but when Mimosa Nightshade is in battle, things aren't so easy for Cornealus.
For this battle the ruleset allows Melee attack cards to attack from any position, so me doing Focus Death and having Summoner Zintar Mortalis available was a good choice because of the Debuff to Melee attacks.
But I noticed that the opponent was using Water Splinter using a lot of cards with Heal and Tank Heal abilities and the Cornealus card, which made me change my strategy, afraid that the battle would reach fatigue.
In this sense, I understood that Mimosa Nighshade would be the best option to eliminate Heal and Tank Heal, and thus create a strong team that could beat the opponent.
My team leader would be Dark Ha'on with the Taunt skill would be the target of the opponent's cards, allowing my other cards not to suffer attacks, and besides Dark Ha'on having the Flying skill would give the opponent a chance to miss with his attacks.
Since the Melee attack cards could attack from any position, my second tank would be Harklaw with Shield skill was a guarantee if the battle didn't go well.
In the third position Disintegrator with Demoralize ability, besides being able to attack would reduce the damage of the opponent's Melee attacks and give greater protection to Harklaw, but first reduce the damage to Dark Ha'on.
Speed would be important in the battle, because my tank has the Flying skill, so on the fourth position I chose Creeping Ooze to increase the chance that the opponent misses attacks, and lastly Haunted Spirit, with Heal skill, if the battle was going badly, having a card with healing skill could make a difference since I have the advantage of applying Affliction to the opponent's cards.
Seeing the opponent's lineup, I couldn't have been more pleased to see so many cards with Heal and Tank Heal ability when I was opportune in choosing Mimosa Nightshade, where only the Summoner, in this battle generates Affliction and reduces the Ranged attack, giving me a huge advantage in this battle with only these Debuff.
Let's start the battle, and see what happens!
The opponent starts the battle with an attempted Water Elemental attack that misses the target, and then Cornealus misses as well, and Sea Monsters of the same kind, three wrong attacks in the first round, when my cards slowly and slowly do damage.
Halfling Alchemist is a dangerous card because of its Halfling ability in which it reduced my tank's attack strength, in this case it didn't affect much because it doesn't have much attack strength.
Starting the second round, although I can create several negative effects to the opponent's cards, my tank won't support dealing with all the attacks because I didn't combine cards with Repair or Tank Heal skill, but that's why I chose Harklaw in the second position, which had better protection against Melee and Ranged attacks.
In this round I manage to eliminate the opponent's tank, Sea Monsters, being one less card doing damage, and Dark Ha'on starts to have few health points, but it has done a great job so far, it has taken a lot of beating.
Dark Ha'on managed to withstand three whole rounds of getting beaten up, in the fourth round his time came, but he falls down standing up, he did a great battle!
From here on the battle is won because Harklaw takes the lead in my team and has Shield ability while the opponent only has Ranged attack cards with redzuido attack unable to cause damage, and it's just watching my cards beat up until the opponent's last card and can celebrate this victory.
It was interesting to see how I was able to neutralize the opponent's cards, even with four cards still in battle, it was unable to create damage my cards.
After nine rounds the battle was over, in which I increased my rank in the Silver League by 19 points, earned 3,453 RP and 2,189 dec. This battle went perfectly, the only fault was that I did not use Gold cards to increase my rewards.
It's amazing to see how just one card, in this case Summoner, Mimosa Nightshade, can neutralize the abilities of several cards of the opponent, making the battle much more accessible for me, without a doubt that betting on Mimosa Nightshade was a winning bet.

I really should take a closer look at the summoners, since I didn't even know this one existed :S In higher-cost teams, running Mimosa coul free up slots I normally give to heal/tank counters that often are killed before I'm done using their debuff.
