The bitter orange were sold today

Apart from planting of sweet oranges trees which can be found in so many places in our compound, we also have the bitter orange, and these sour oranges we have were not intended to be planted in the compound.

It happens that, the sterm of it were used in nursing of the seedling we planted, but due to too much sunlight those seedlings didn't grow, they die and the sterm of the citrus which were used in nursing of the sweet oranges germinate.

As the citrus grow we didn't know that the main orange is not the plants that is growing, then when it was times to bear fruits, some of the seedlings that was planted bear sour oranges instead of sweet oranges.

We wanted to cut the bitter orange down and replace them with sweet oranges, but in the first time of them bearing those fruits, we keep seeing people coming into the compound to asked us, they will like to buy the fruits of the oranges and, when we are going to sell those bitter orange, we should let them know.

This was when we understand that, the demands for it is higher in the market than that of sweet oranges in our country, Nigeria.

At this point, we were beginning to changed our minds of cutting them down, then, instead of us to cut them down, we plant new seedlings of sweet oranges separately, since we still needs these oranges in the compound.

This morning, a woman came and request she wants to buy the bitter oranges, I gave her go ahead and also help her in plugging of it.

She met me on the outside of the compound, since I was out looking for signals, after, I went into the house and inform my nephew who helped in packing the oranges outside and kept it in a good place.

My mom also help in plugging it as well, she told me, while I was in Port Harcourt, the buyer has bought the oranges from her many times, so she is her customer.

I was keen to know where the buyer's sells them, she said, once she arrived at the market, a lot of people as well are going to rush her and it wouldn't take much time and she will sell all of it.

I was happy for her, because she is making profit as well, I do not like the taste of bitter orange, it is sour and that alone don't trigger me to lick it.

I heard that I can lick the bitter orange, maybe when I find out that, I am not having appetite of eating food much.

They gave me expo on top of the food eating technique that i know, so, I am waiting, when mom is going to prepare my favorite meal, I will force myself and eat this grape then wait for the meal.
