Don't cry mate, you try your best

Looking for him
where could he be
there were noises
some mates leave
teachers greeted themselves
wishing each other good holiday enjoyment
l was happy of mine
but my friend was not
he cried hard
l went hastily to that side
grabbed his hands as we sat
looking into his eyes
sees the bitterness inside
tries to clean it away
somehow different was his face
l wanted him awesomely
away from the tears

His blue shirt got stained
on the wall he beat
standing there caused it
you try your best
you didn't caused it
l keep repeating these words
but bad thoughts crop up
l tried to get it out
l did l help
calling in the gift
we left last
the distance was far
about four poles difference

l know he was not a failure
he was good than me
who i got motivated from
later taught him motivation
a two way saving game
he picked up next term
he became first
l followed him again
l like it that way
we were happy and nothing else
best graduating students of the year.

This christmas season keep bringing a lot of memories to my mind, what i got today is about a particular term in elementary result.

l was always so nervous of what will be my result, and I was sure all my mates felt the same, but then it seems so many of my mates always has the trust in me that I was going to do best.

That is by the way. The essence of this poem was about my mate who one day cried so much because he was not at the position he thought he was going to be.

l remember he always wants to get up from where he sat, thinking he was the person to be called out. We used to seat at the floor, and when your name is called, you can from there get up and stand at the front, and everyone will clapped at you.

l took first position that term, so after the results presentation, my friend cried so much, he never believed he could be called as the second to the last person, but it was his efforts at that particular term.

He was really sad, and think of what he was going to tell his Aunt and Uncle when they asked him, because that might make them not to buy christmas gift for him.

l told him lf he does not get a Christmas present because of that, i was going to give him some of my stuff. Luckily, none of his Aunt's and uncle's asked him about his performance that term. Or they were aware already, and did not want their nephew to remember it and start feeling bad.

When school resume, l was already expecting to give my friend some of my Christmas stuff gotten as gift as l did promise, but he asked me to keep them, because he also got a lot of stuff from his Aunt and Uncle.
