Victory Day Celebration.

A national holiday! Sounds great for a family reunion. This time I couldn't attend a house party or do anything special for our busy schedule. That's why we decided to celebrate it a day earlier!

Yesterday was the big day for our nation, it was our 51st Victory Day. We usually celebrate it casually, mostly at home with family. Being stuck in traffic during the holidays never feels like a good idea, instead, it's better at home. But visiting some places attached to our victory the day before or after is kind of my sneaky way to feel the vibe.

We went to the good old the University of Dhaka Campus which is the best place to see some historical sites as well as spend a relaxing day. [//]:# (!pinmapple 23.73185 lat 90.39563 long d3scr)

I'm going to share with you my experience out there with some photos.

Our national flag. I bought this mini flag for my son to hold & wave during our visit to the campus.

We took a walk around the campus and then went to the Teachers and Students Center to have a seat there on the grass field.

The campus was a bit crowded because it was open at the time we visited. Also, there were a few outsiders like us who went to take a tour around the campus. Although I'm an ex-student, now I'm an outsider, right?

You may have wondered why this place and not any other historical or recreational place to celebrate the day!

Probably because I feel more attached to this campus than any other place, it's convenient for me as I know every corner of this place. Also, it's one of the major areas of the town, all the big things happen here, for example, many national cultural programs.

An old temple inside the campus.

This campus is part of our history as it actively took part in our victory back then. So the authority usually arranges different programs, and decor the whole campus to celebrate the victory day.

We move on to the other part of the campus and later had some snacks there.

Ice cream!

And finally this place! It's called Oporajeyo Bangla which means the invincible power of Bangladesh.

This is one of my favorite statues like many others. It's just in front of the building we used to attend our classes. There's a huge ground in front of it where we used to hang out. This time I went there, had some ice cream, and my son played football; all together we had a great time.

It was a fun and relaxing day. I wouldn't say I would have the same kind of day if I visit the place on the very day of the victory day. But my experience was not anything less either, we loved it.

Have a splendid day, everyone.
