The scenic beauty of Tajhat Palace.
Tajhat is the finest palace in the northern part of Bangladesh. The scenic beauty of this palace made it one of the popular tourist spots in the area too. You will hardly find anyone who not once went to this palace, now a museum.
The advantage of visiting such a place is you can enjoy the natural beauty alone having a glimpse of our history. The entry fee is separate for the museum so if you are not into walking in the cold hall of the museum, then you can enjoy the park and the huge open space of the castle.
Let me take you on a visual tour of the palace.
This is the entrance. This huge green garden is ready to refresh your day!
The garden was well organized and fun to walk around. You can take a break, have some snacks there, and enjoy the sun. We have done a mini picnic on this lawn.
If you walk down the aisle, you will get to see two ponds side by side on the walkway. What amazed me most, one pond was covered with beautiful waterlilies and another one was empty.
Then comes the palace gate. Isn't it beautiful?
The palace was built by Maharaja Kumar Gopal Lal Roy at the beginning of the 20th century. It is believed that from the conspicuous appearance of his Taj or jeweled crown, his estate derived the name Tajhat.

This fountain was functioning when I last visited there. Probably it's not in good condition now. This used to be one of the major attractions of the place.
The palace consists of the main building alone with servent and entertainment buildings separately, two huge gardens in the front and backyard, three ponds, a mosque, and a lot of trees around the place.
It's such a beautiful place to spend the weekend and have a relaxed day surrounded by the beauty.

Before I say goodbye, here is another view of the palace. To be honest I like this view more than the front view. The red enhances the beauty of this fine building.

The outside architecture and landscaping can be an attention getter but I think the true beauty is the inside where history was lived.
I agree. I love the architecture of the building. It's prohibited to capture the photo of the museum but I have some inside of the building; the aisle, balcony, and the stairs. I will share them soon. It's much more beautiful.

I agree, the architectural beauty of the palace is very significant. Although there are a lot of renovation to the old building so some of the old work has abolished. But it still standing beautifully. I love visiting this palace.
