Last week, we have been to the national cultural center to enjoy the ongoing art fest. It was a wonderful event, there was so much to see, including different forms of art and cultural events.

The food corner was sure another great attraction for the visitors. There were all different stores offering varieties of food, from local to foreign cuisine.

Let me share the food we ate there.

The food was on the pricy side but they sure were quality. Also, the temporary shops maintained their hygiene as I have seen.

I found a shop that was selling our local 'Kabab' and 'Paratha'. We didn't wait to have some.

On another food stall, my husband took 'Tehari', which is a mix of rice and beef. It was so much flavourful.

Then on the last corner of the area, I found this 'Pitha' place. They were selling all different kinds of local rice cake and all. It was a live kitchen and everything was looking great.

We had some 'Pitha' there and I bought some home as well.

There were so many different types of rice cakes, I'm not even familiar with many. Also, the price was not as high as other food stalls.

After having our lunch there, I found a food stall selling mini chicken lollipops. They were looking so cute, we had some. And on another shop, we found they were offering our local sweet called 'Sandesh' for just $1.

We finished our lunch with this.

This is what I bought back home. The yellow one is spicy rice roti. And the brown one is roti made with Indian peas. Both were good with the tangy, sour Chatny.

It was a good day with all the different activities and the amazing food we have tried. I would remember this especially because of the local foods. Because not very often we can find them to enjoy.

Have a great day, everyone.
