Exploring an Abandoned House and a walk through the village.

It was a unique and exciting way to spend a day. Walking through this abandoned house was both fascinating and eerie. I have heard that snacks show up often around this area. So was I scared too. But can't resist the temptation to visit this 200 years old house.

But it was fun!

This used to be my Uncle's house which he got from his parents. They lived in India before the India-Pakistan separation. After 1947, they decided to move to this area because the majority of the homeowner were Muslim. And it was considered safe from any hate/religious crime at that time.

So they exchanged this house with the owner who shift back to India. That means they didn't build this house but got it just as it is. My uncle's parents used to live here till the 90s. Later, they build their own modern house but I don't know why they keep it, just like it used to be.

The whole house is wooden. I can remember, probably 20 years ago, I visited the house once. The indoor is also wooden and there were some fine crafts as well.

Even the window security grilles were also made of wood!

This is the backyard of the house. It was their bathroom and the one on the left is well. This well was workable back in the day. Probably 10 years ago my aunts used it for drinkable water.

This was the toilet, as it used to be in those days, far from the main house. They renovated it and that's why it's concrete made. But it used to be a bamboo structure.

Later, we went to explore the village a little bit. There were so many things to see.

We took a leisurely walk through the village. The village is very green, just like any other rural area of Bangladesh. Taking the time to appreciate the natural beauty of the surroundings, and look for wildlife and plants felt so much more than just a walk.

Overall, exploring the abandoned home and taking a walk through a wonderful village was a thrilling and memorable experience. I'm not sure if I could ever have the chance again to visit the house. It sure added great value to my experience.

Have a good day, everyone.

I think they retained the house in its original position to let the future generation experience some glimpse of their past.
How amazing it would have felt going back to the house. !

I believe so. It need a lot of reinnovation to make it livable again. I don't think in near future they have any intention to put that much money on it. But who knows!

The first thought that comes to my mind when someone mentions an abandoned house is horror stuff, haha. For sure the house brought back some nostalgic memories to you~ 🥰
