My Support for Women #197
Support is a special form of assistance we offer to those in need. It can come in the form of encouragement or aids. For example, when I lost my dad, I received lots of support in order to graduate from school successfully. I am grateful to God for it.
I am the type of person who helps people around me who are in need. Since this discussion is about how we support other women, I will share stories of women I have helped in my own small way. My goal is to inspire us to encourage ourselves in supporting other women, even the young girls too, so they can avoid life's mistakes.
My Friend's Son
This is Jerry, my friend's son. His mom, a single mother, and I met at the University of Uyo, in the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, Akwa-Ibom State.
Little did I know that after graduation, I would end up supporting her Son.
She lives near my street and recently got a better job in another state. So, I took on the responsibility of caring for her son, Jerry. I would take him to church and ensure he was well taken care of until his mom settled in Lagos, where she had moved.
The plan was for her to find a place in Lagos and then bring her son to live with her while she works there. Since Lagos is a very busy state, it was demanding to take Jerry along because her initial plan was staying with someone at first until she is able to get a place of her own.
She left him in my care. I feel this might seem like a small act of kindness, but it meant a lot to her. Knowing her son was in safe hands gave her peace of mind. This is every mother's greatest concern.
It doesn't matter if you are single; having a mindset of kindness brings its own rewards. I have personally benefited from this.
Here is Kate
Kate is part of our church choir. I love the way she sings and am helping her realize her gift of singing.
Recently, her dad lost his job, and paying her school fees has become a burden for her family, as she has other siblings too. I decided to help her parents by taking care of her school fees. It’s not that I have a lot of money, but this small act of kindness brings a smile to her face and her parents.
I usually don't announce the support I provide, but I am sharing this because of the contest's inquiry. I believe that when women support other women, we can make the world a better place. Acts of kindness, as I always say, come with their own rewards.
I work at a job that pays well enough to support my family and allows me to save. I can also afford to pay someone’s school fees without it impacting me significantly. It was someone who supported me to get the job, I felt using the opportunity to be of help to another would be a good thing.
I believe that every act of kindness you do comes back with rewards, such as better connections with people.

That is so good of you to take your friends son in, whilst she finds a good place for them both. Thank you for responding and showing how you support other women xx
I hope it happens so. Thanks for the time you spent on my blog.
Great blessings happen when we offer a little helping hand at the right time. ❤️
I love it when women support women and I pray everyone of us can embrace it.
Thank you for passing the kindness forward.
