Amazing Encounter with a Magician - Picture is Worth a Thousand Words Contest

Photographs help us remember the beauty of nature and colorful events. For this to be successful a professional photographer plays a big role in creating these lasting memories.

It becomes shocking when something happens during the time of taking photographs. This is what led to my entry of a picture is worth a thousand words.

What I See

I saw a woman in her mid-60s taking a photograph.

She seemed surprised and decided to look directly at the scene instead of through her camera lens because what she saw was shocking.

Imagine taking photograph of a person and you didn’t see the person again. It looks as if the person disappeared, you can only find his clothes on the floor not his body.

What I Feel

I felt that she had probably seen something unusual, something she had never encountered before in her photography career. At that moment, she choose to look directly at the object for a clearer view.

Here is a Story about what I think is ongoing

There was a special program to be held in the town of Peru. The citizens felt cheated because the person they voted for was not in power.

The bad officials currently running the government were all removed. Recently, new representatives were elected and were about to be sworn into office. They needed a live shoot of the event to celebrate the moment.

They needed a professional photographer who could capture surprising and eye-catching photos. Lilian was called upon for the task because everyone knew she provided top-notch service.

There had just been a peaceful dethronement of the corrupt government in Peru. The rightful winner was finally handed power after the bad government was overthrown.

They wanted the best photographer to capture the event, creating lasting memories for the citizens to let them understand their vote counted.

Fast forward to Lilian's encounter: one of the newly elected candidates approached her for a shot. She smiled and was about to take the picture when a gunshot was heard, and the candidate disappeared into thin air. She couldn't see him but saw his clothes he wore on the floor and stared in great awe.
