Splinterlands realm of Chaos Legions
Splinterlans has been giving updates to the community very often. Which is a very positive side from the team and is a path of good connection with the community. Regular Townhalls which are arranged by the team is much appreciated as well.
If I am being honest, almost everyday is exciting in the land of Splinterlands. Guess what, there are news almost every other day. And every one of them is exciting than the other. While with the recent reward card going to be out of print is sort of the hot topic for the players of Splinterlands. Which is why players are grabbing them as soon as they can before they run out of print. Have you got yours?
On the other hand today let us talk about other thing which is happening in Splinterlands. Chaos Legion is being burned everyday that we are all aware of. But with the current scenario it seems like less than 15% of the packs are available in the set. That is literally a crazy and appealing state for whole Splinterlands game.

Since the burning mechanism of Chaos legion packs started we have slowly started to see there was an upward momentum in terms of value of this set. Which is something we have not seen for a long time. We saw the price of the packs (CL) in secondary market has been decreasing ever since the launch of it. But this last few weeks phase has been overwhelming for the price of chaos legion. As far as I remember the price was at approx less than 1.5$ per pack at some point. It was literally crazy at some point. As I was one of those investors who invested during the presale phase. I must say, it has been one of a ride to this date.
Price falling less than 50% is somehow demeaning. As an investor it is quite difficult to bear. But with all the cherries which have been falling upon the holders of chaos during the SPS airdrop was really worth it. As it did not felt that bad during that phase.
So, what's next?
I really do not know what is going to happen next! Let us do some calculation as see what really is happening and what might happen in the next upcoming days for Chaos legion.
Since, more than 85% of chaos legion sold and remaining 15% is left to mint/to purchase it is safe to assume chaos legion is slowly running out of packs. With the burning mechanism in place it is sure, within the next couple of weeks there would no Chaos legion packs available in the official site for players to purchase. Which will leave no other option but to purchase from secondary market if need be for any players.
As the impact of this burning mechanism and also the price increase of DEC is slowly affecting the price of packs in the secondary market. As seen today the price of per packs of chaos legion is being sold at approximately $2. Which is literally amazing. As I mentioned earlier that the price of these packs almost fell down to $1.5 few months back. And seeing this price is sort of reassuring that things are slowly starting to turn back for us.

$5,400,000 worth of Chaos Legion packs burned!
This print of Chaos legion total number of packs was huge compared to the previous set of cards. Which has made this set of card to be in the talk for a much longer period than its predecessors. While the burning phase has been one of the best move made by the team of Splinterlands (supported by the community) has made the current scenario a lot more interesting than it actually was few months ago. If you calculate the burning mechanism till date you may see an actual percentage of 1,350,000 packs were burned (9.0%) till today. If we calculate the price of packs which are worth $4 per packs (from the official site of Splinterlands) than the sum of those burned packs would be a whopping $5,400,000. That is something crazy even for Splinterlands.
Within the next couple of weeks we will see the remaining unsold packs are also being burned which will help the team to get prepared to release the next set of cards into the game. And this time I do really hope they do not make the same mistake as Chaos legion. Which is keep the tab at the number of packs to release into the eco system.
A whole set of max CL cards
I am going to keep this ss just to see it after two or three years. How much it would have cost me to get a max CL deck. The lowest it went was few weeks ago which was less than $3000. It is indeed crazy to see things change in the land of Splinterlands.

I think the 15M Chaos Legion Pack is too much for this current community to handle, but this Burn makes everything become more rare and valuable in long term.
