Dream, a realm where we visit while we go to sleep! The state where everything feels like reality. All the adventures, serenity, horror, nightmares comes to life and gives us chills across the spine of ours while we live in the world of dream. Just imagine, a realm where people visit in their dreams, someone is in charge of that realm and maintains the balance between the realm of dream and the physical world.

SANDMAN, a Netflix American fantasy drama television series published by DC comics based on the comic book written by Neil Gaiman (1989-1996). Morpheus aka Dream (Sandman) one of the seven Endless, visits the world of living and gets captured by the living and held captive for over 100 years. Thus his tools gets taken away from him and his dream realm is at chaos at his absence. The story gets laid off what happens while he was in captive and how does he gets his power back and what has and will happen in the future.

We the mortals are greedy! Greed has taken over the minds thus the unnatural phenomenon takes place. The natural course of life is disrupted as one of the mortal seek some gifts from the prisoner which are not for the mortal. Immortality, uncountable wealth and so on! Morpheus getting held as a prisoner puts all the dream realm in chaos and danger is upon those who are in the state of dream in the living world. Since the tools of Morpheus gets taken away wealth starts to cherish onto those who held Dream as captives.

Tom Sturridge aka Morpheus has taken the heart of many with his acting skills. The series has received IMDB rating of 7.8. Sandman has received 1 season with 11 episodes in total. As per report second season is on mind of the creators.

The launch of Sandman has taken the internet by surprise. Netflix has been producing contents on different genres. Movies, Tv series almost on every sector it has been gaining audiences. In the recent subscription model change of Netflix, it lost huge numbers of users but their content creation and consumption is driving its users back to the platform. Thus some of the amazing contents are being showcased in Netflix and has been gaining attractions ever since. A perfect reply to those who were claiming its the end of Netflix.

Morpheus the Dream aka Sandman is one of the Endless among the four (Desire, Death, Despair) introduced in the series. They are immortal with immense power who does their respective duties for the mankind. Maintaining the balance in their realm and the living world.

Morpheus comes to the living world from his realm to catch one of his creations, who went rogue. On that very moment he gets caught by a mortal by spells, who seeks some gifts from Death. The mortal was seeking death so that he can bring back his loved ones from the other side. But uneventfully the mortal gets Dream as a hostage. Thus he takes away all the possessions from Morpheus making him a prisoner for 106 years.

During these 100 years Morpheus was kept hostage and in those years his kingdom fell apart. He lost his people, power, his raven as if he lost everything in his possession. After 106 years he was finally free. Took his revenge against those who hurt him leaving them in agony. He was almost powerless and finally was able to reach his realm and saw the ruins of his kingdom. Since he was powerless he sought out for his tools which were scattered in living world, Hell and so on. Upon searching for the tools he met mortal, faith, Lucifer Morningstar of Hell, his sibling and acquittance which slowly changed him to be a better version of himself. He was a ruler before he was kept hostage for over 100 years but this whole incident and change of behavior has made him a leader.

The uniqueness of the series lies in the story. As in the past we have seen movies, tv series related to GOD, Angel, Lucifer and what not! But the series revolves around those entities which were in our sight for a long time but never spoke of or ever was anything created based on their characters. Since the fist season has been released there are more stories coming up and we will get to see other characters as it will get very much interesting as we speak.
