Investors, Traders/Hodl-ers...

The above terms of today's topic are often heard in crypto! In my early days, it was quite difficult for me to put myself in either of the above categories. Since I was new and had close to no idea how or why should I even care about being on any of the above categories? I guess, time changes everybody!

Since we are in crypto, let us talk about crypto currency for this post. We have seen people making statements about crypto. Some are positive, while some will always be negative towards Crypto. I have been on both of these sides and have had my share of fun during the past days. Regarding Crypto, my point of view always would be "Crypto has been a blessing for me!"

Investment : Traders/Hodlers

Traders, Investors, Hodlers the common goal of everyone is to earn money from their investments. Some are eager to wait for their investments to grow, while some likes to take profit from their investments via trades (short-term), while others just buys and forget about their invest and after few years gets to retire just by being a hodler.

There are plenty of facts which makes Traders different from hodlers. The key facts that I would like to point out from my past would be :

• Term wise thoughts : One of the key fact which makes Traders who they are is the fact about how they usually think! To be more precise, it would be short term thinkers vs long term thinkers. Traders would often take the opportunity of price fluctuation of a particular coin and make quick money out of their trades. Whereas, Hodlers would prefer to see long term vision. They would invest on the project and the coins, if and only they are convinced about the product of that project. Thus HODL their coin for long term prospect.

• Risk fact : Since the market of crypto is volatile, there are various risk factors which should be considered. A trader often tries to find that thread of opportunity where they can make some profits out of those ups and down. While on the other hand, if the market plays the other way around they have to face the loss which sometimes is unbearable. But since Hodlers have a thought about holding their coins/tokens for long term, the price change does not really affect them that much.

• Decision Making Mindset : When coming to this point, it often requires for traders to take some quick decisions to make. As it requires to be very vigilant for traders to be online or to use stop loss at all times. During these scenario I have seen plenty of traders makes mistakes or becomes greedy. Thus loosing the funds that they have resulting them loosing the money along the way. While on the other hand, Hodlers have a keen eye just to watch the market and sit back and relax.

• Requirements of FUNDS : One of the best question which arises either to be a trader or a Hodler, which is HOW MUCH MONEY DO YOU HAVE? And How much money are you willing to take risks? The reason is, the more money one can invest, the more chance is there for one to get return on that particular investment. While there is also risks attached to this. As the more the funds you have, more likely you are going to make loss in that. That is also a key point to take a note for.

While, if I speak for myself, HIVE can be a very great door to enter into crypto. First get to know about crypto, blogging, sharing your thoughts, in HIVE, slowly improve yourself, increase your knowledge. Take small steps and at the end of the this initial phase you will have what you need to get into crypto. Thus your initial step is taken care of. Once you get on track the rest would be history. On the other hand if you have enough funds to start with, do try out powering up HIVE and let it do the rest ;) Plenty of opportunity in the blockchain of HIVE. Just explore and find your pick ;)
