Crypto venture is getting very excited as days are passing by! People speculating obvious outcome for crypto investors (Which is DOOM) while some are taking this opportunity and thriving and probably building their empire as we speak. Since we are investing our time, money in crypto, maintaining a balance has been one of the most important aspect in crypto verse. Which is why having a portfolio tracker for our assets is a must! I have been using some portfolio tracker for the last few years to track the condition of my crypto currency. Although, I have mixed feeling about that.

We all are aware what a crypto portfolio tracker does! It helps to sort our buying/selling order and helps us see where we are standing with our purchased assets. It does shares a lot of important data which helps us see the profit/loss made in our purchases.

One of the portfolio tracker which I had used for a long time was COINSTATS. It helped a lot tbh. Since I was not really a very big fan of coinmarketcap back then. It has all sorts of options to use. It provides LIVE update of coins, has extensions available for chrome, Mozilla and some others. But after an upgrade of coinstats I found it very lagging and it has been showing some very late price feed for some of the coins. For which I had to go through some trouble. Lets not go there today. Which is why I switched to Coingecko and I have been tracking my assets ever since on this app. While I have been using it for over a year. So far what I can say, I am satisfied with all the options they are providing. There are plenty of paid portfolio tracker available but for a small user like me ;) this is the best option which I have seen so far. That even accurate and linked to one of the leading coin tracker out there. I am using it and the best part is, it is accessible via our phone. SO I can track it even if I am not in front of PC. I am out of town atm and I do not have access to my PC but thanks to it I am able to see what's happening in our portfolio.

Now why am I sharing all these as many of the veterans already are aware of it? My prime goal is we probably need a portfolio tracker for HIVE. Recently, I have been involved in several projects of HIVE. Which not only includes the purchase of HIVE but also includes purchasing assets which are related to other HIVE projects. Such as Splinterlands, Leofinance and other layer two coins. Hive being the native coin of HIVE blockchain it is easily accessible via coingecko or other portfolio tracker. But when it comes to layer two coins and other assets of Hive projects it is quite impossible to keep track of them. Unless you do it manually aka write them down or go back to see the transactions and thus with due diligence you find out where you did what!

The reason I am saying it is because I am having a very difficult time tracking all my activities on these purchases. Which is why I often get confused about what and where I did the purchase and which one actually went through and which one did not or sometimes the buy orders gets mixed up as well. Another very interesting but yet confusing aspect of these purchases are they are made in HIVE. Which makes it very confusing to attain at what prices they were purchased. Under normal circumstances we mostly purchase coins from a traditional market using stables which is quite easy to track. But in this case, HIVE moving in prices makes it difficult to track at which price we actually bought the coin at (layer two coins). I am having this issue a lot.

Splinterlands assets

Splinterlands is one of the most active game in the Hive blockchain. Having multiple tokens and assets of this game being traded in Hive-Engine makes it quite cheeky to trade upon. For starters I have been trading

All the tasks at present I am handling them manually. Trust me calculating the profit and loss part in the most annoying thing that I have go through everyday. While I was not able to add another table where I do usually set the amount of tokens/assets purchased. Sorry for being a noob in creating tables lolz.

All I am saying if we can get a portfolio tracker for our layer two HIVE coins or assets in actual $ price and in terms of HIVE price and the profit or loss calculator embedded to the portfolio tracker it would be really an awesome application for us (HIVE users) to use and keep track of our assets. It would great to see things automated like the portfolio tracking of our altcoins.

I am not sure if I am the only one who is going through this hassle of maintaining everything manually. Now I am slowly starting to understand the value of developers in Blockchain. Probably slowly I should dive into this phase and do things for myself instead of ranting about these lol. But either way HIVE has a place called blogging and users like can share about their everyday activities with the whole community. A positive side to that.
