Battle Field

Splinterlands battle field is all about tactics, strong line up, levelled up cards, and in the mood of the players. As some silly mistakes while selecting the cards in the battle field can cause huge damage to the game play. Well, this situation usually gets intense, while a player is playing in any sort of tournaments. Let me display some of the battles which I have played in a recent tournament.

Battle one

• Mana Cap: 36
• Splinters available : Fire, Earth, Death
• Rule: Counterspell, Aim True, Fire and Regret

Few aspects that came into my mind upon seeing the rule set:

Can not use magic attack monsters as it will be a double edged sword. Also can not use ranged attack monsters for the same reason. Which makes me quite confident to use the melee attack monsters. Which is why I choose the fire splinter over other splinters. Also I wanted to give an additional melee attack to my monsters upon choosing Tarsa.

Lineup : Choosing Antoid platoon was the best option for me. As it has shield and also has scavanger ability to increase its health all through the battle. Which would give some additional benefits in the battle field.

Radiated Brute, was the best option option for the second line up. As it has reach ability and enrage which would give additional benefits for the lineup. Also its speed would give me an advantage to give some hits to the opponent.

Mordeus, was my trump card in this battle. As it has the best strategy in the battle. With opportunity ability, it would attack the opponent with the best given circumstances. I was expecting Mordeus to give me the best outcome from all the monsters in this particular battle field.

Tenyi Striker was also a card which I was expecting to give me one of the best outcome in terms of taking out the last monsters of the opponent. With its sneak ability it would do damage from the back of the opponents line up.

Ureaus, comes in handy in situation such as this. As with the help of Tenyi it would some additional boost in striking the back line up of the mosnters. Also its poison attack would come in handy whenever, it gets to implicate it in the opponent.

Idri Fire was acting as a bait. With its taunt ability, it was able to take some damage to itself while my other monsters to the damage. The bait did the job outstandingly.

Needless to say, my opponent sure played it wisely as well. But with some additional perks of my monsters I was able to outsmart my opponent in this case. Only if the rule sets were slightly different I would have been taken care of quite easily. So a nice match to witness from my side as well.

Speed plays a crucial role:

This match was quite simple. But to be honest, I was being little typical in this situation. Which is why, I gave myself little more priority than my opponent. In simple terms, I was being over confident. Which is why I was over taken by my opponent. I designed my team based on the simple rule of opportunities. But my monsters were little slow and was overtaken by my opponent. Even before my monsters could do something, they were taken out with the speed of my opponent. I lost the match! But it was a nice learning curve for me.

Well, so far this has been my best tournament. I am eagerly looking forward to the results of the match. I do not know what to expect, but it was quite fun playing this tournament. I did learn few more tips and tricks throughout this tournament. Also, I do need to get some additional cards which would enhance my play in the battle field. Not to mention my rebellion deck is yet to be made and I have a long way to go in this particular deck. So, lets see where we can go and how far I can take my decks.
