SPS Goal is achieved by 80% and trying for more

Splinterlands has been doing good and they keep on bringing more innovations and also the opportunities to invest. September was a month when we had a couple of pre-sale events and I was not able to take part in that because all this ended so fast. It's time if the pre-sale is gone but later I did buy the packs. I think this is the only bests option available for us and I just try this way. Because the pre-sale for riftwatchers and Tower defense was sold out in 2 minutes so many players like me missed the chance to buy.

While buying some packs and cards in the game I also tried to keep on accumulating the SPS tokens. I have been doing the same since the launch of the SPS token and I had a goal of 15k SPS in the beginning. It's been more than 2 months and the airdrop has ended but my goal is still on. I was able to achieve the 15k staked SPS and later I increased the goal to 20k. I am working on it and currently, I have 16k SPS tokens out of the goal of 20k tokens. This means my goal is achieved by 80% and the remaining 20%, I need to achieve by year-end. It's mid of October month and in the 2.5 months, I need to have approx 4k SPS tokens. This balance is not so small but I will try my best to achieve and if the market allows me to bat at lower prices then it will be really great.

SPS is a governance token and there have been some benefits of holding in the past. Even there is an upcoming airdrop for SPS holders for Genesis League Governance Token (GLX) and this is going to be great. As per the last update, this is going to start on the 25th of October and I hope that people will buy more SPS in between. We can not forget the SPS airdrop that continued for a year and seems like this GLX will also be a long-term airdrop. Such airdrops are like opportunities for us to grab more tokens and stake for more profitability. I am glad about my decision that I decided to hold all my airdropped tokens and now this is bringing another airdrop opportunity. I am bullish on SPS for the long term and it's because I believe in the growth and use case of tokens.

Upcoming SPS rewards

I am also waiting for the reward distribution for land holding but this has not been started yet. Although there has been no update on the change and I expect that this should start soon and this will also help me have more SPS tokens. This will be another way that can help me to reach my SPS goals faster. Proposals are now live in splinterlands and this way community is able to approve or reject the proposals and this is a good initiative I believe. The game is more community-driven and decentralized so going forward anything that is good for the community will be approved. Further implementations will happen on the basis of community agreement and this is a good move by the splinterlands team.

SPS Holding

Below is the snapshot of my current SPS holding and it has 16360 tokens deposited in the game account. I have not been able to buy tokens these days but I am waiting for a better price and in the meantime keeping some funds for my buy. I claim my sps reward daily and this is rewarded at the APR of 29.5% which is nice. I stake whatever tokens I earn through the SPS stake and this also helps me to increase the balance. My sps goal is to have 20k SPS in total and year-end is the target to make it happen. It's a better way and surely a good source of passive income. This is passive income for me however I am not selling anything to book profit but I try to build for the long term.

My cards are still on rental and I like whatever DEC I earn daily. Last week I spend 100k DEC to buy tower defense and I will continue to do the same. While I am not getting the time to play the game but still earning DEC and this is helping me have more packs purchased. I use the splex portal for card rental and this makes card renting so easy. I get DEC tokens daily and these earnings keep on changing based on supply and demand in the market. It's my accumulation time for DEC and once I have a good balance then I will think about it again.
