My Plan to Become an Entrepreneur

Entrepreneur is not just a word instead it's a journey that requires hard work, dedication, focus and compromises, etc. An entrepreneur starts something on his own and tries to build a product that can have a better impact on people's lives or a better market cap if things fall in the right place. In simple words, entrepreneurs are businessmen who are trying to start something from scratch and this journey is not going to be easy for them. Doing a job can be an easy thing for many people because once you crack the interview then you are in the company and you can continue doing the job within the organisation. You earn the money through your salary or some other incentives that you get as part of your job but in entrepreneur life, things are completely different.

I lost my job in 2020 because of the COVID lockdown and thereafter I did not start it because I somehow changed my schedule which was not easy but then I chose not to go back to the previous schedule. I still work but I do not do the regular job instead I do freelancing that allows me to work at my convenience and I get freedom because I don't need to work in fixed. I just need to finish the work that I have on my plate and all I can do at my convenience and I can decide my working hours. So I also don't get a salary but I get paid for the work that I do surely I'm not an employee but I'm a freelancer and I'm very happy doing the work this way.

I have been thinking about starting my journey as an entrepreneur and I wanted to start a business in the fashion industry. I was almost ready to start it in the second quarter of 2020 and even had the plan to quit my job before that. Fortunately or unfortunately COVID began in the first quarter of 2020 and by March, we had a lockdown in the country. I was about to pay some security for the premises and also about to buy some tools and machines in the first week of April but luckily lockdown happened slightly before and it was good for me. Now I imagine that if I had paid all the money and post that lockdown was imposed then I would have been in a bad situation. I pushed my plan for the next couple of years and even now I'm not in the situation to start my own real soon.

My first attempt to become an entrepreneur and start my own could not materialize in the year 2020 and now I have a small baby. My younger son is almost two now so currently I'm not in the situation to think about the business but my plan remains the same which I will try to execute after a couple of years. I am thinking that once he turns four or Max five then he will be going to the school and I'll be getting time to think about my business.

I know that once I start my entrepreneurship journey then life is not going to be easy but I am ready for that. It's one life and I want to do something which is my dream. Going through the challenges to build something that I want to do in my life is my priority and a plan that I would do for sure in any condition and it is just a matter of few years. I am expecting that by the year 2027 or 28, I should be able to execute my journey as an entrepreneur and will see how it goes and what it takes to build it.
