Kingdom: A 2D Gaming Virtual World - Explore, Strategize, and Earn Real Value

Gaming on the blockchain is taking shape and it is in the stage where things are growing faster and also making things fun and rewarding for the world. Since the beginning gaming was considered as one of the components where we can spend some time to have some entertainment and fun component but now with the advancement and blockchain involvement things have gone to the next level where it has become even better. This time when the games are highly advanced in terms of graphics and the majority of games we have got in 3D but still 2D gaming is popular and getting a lot of attraction. Kingdom is the same that is trying to bring so much fun through this 2D gaming and with this we can create a virtual world. I have spent some time understanding the game and also gone through the document to see what they have in their bucket and what are their plans to make it even better. we need to understand that in any game it is very important to have a proper plan in place and how they are planning to drive the economy since it is play to earn so people must be investing money. This money needs to be used in a proper way that can bring more value to the project as well as to the community in the long run. Undoubtedly entertainment and fun are the basic components that are needed for every player.

It is very easy to get started with this game. I followed the same and I did not face any difficulties here. I am not a pro in gaming but I was able to sign up and log in within less than a minute. I must appreciate that team has kept it so simple and that is how it should be because we can not expect every player to be so tech-savvy. People can be good at strategy making but they don't need to have a great command of technology so these simple and easy-to-use options are very helpful.

Some Steps and tips to follow -

• Choose signup if this is the first time ( I used the Google login option as its easy for me)
• After login you will get a welcome message and now you are logged in
• You need to have a metamask wallet configured as this will be needed to buy Gold
• Gold is the currency of the game and you can use it to buy various items in the game.
• ETH and MATIC can be used to buy the gold and maybe you can go with MATIC since this will cost very less transaction fee.
• You can withdraw gold as ETH or MATIC coin in your wallet but there will be a transaction fee. There are different slabs for a charge as per the gold amount.

Game Play

This is how the welcome page looks like and since I am logged in so you see me here. There are plots and many other resources available but in the beginning, it may seem to be a bit different. The map is there so you can use it to get a better understanding of the world and which area we can walk around. It's a bigger virtual world and without a map, it is difficult to identify the places, and even coming out from one place to another might be difficult. There is a lot to explore and learn about it because as you can see in the below map where we have got a bigger world including a vast variety of resources available to build.

Different assets will be carrying different values and also different use cases so it is going to take time to build some good assets in your world. I tried with things in some places inside the game but because I have no resources with me so I have limited accessibility and get the message that I cannot use it since it is owned by someone else. The game has also got three components including the inventory energy and gold that can be seen on the top of the page at the right side. even after moving places for quite some time, my energy did not consume which means I didn't do any action that caused some energy but that should not be a problem since it will keep on recharging.

We can check out the inventory of whatever we have in our account using the first options and similarly, energy is already visible. The last one is the gold amount so whatever gold you are owning will be reflected here and I would like to mention it here that the gold is pegged to the Ethereum coin. This sounds good because I got to know it through the documentation provided by the game and it is such an interesting part because no matter what happens in the crypto market your gold will carry the same value as Ethereum but of course with different quantity in gold because it cannot be one gold equal to one Ethereum.

You can start playing the game just for the cost of approximately five dollars in Matic or ETH but I think you will need to have it more for a better gaming experience. It is always good to invest a decent amount in the game if you want to experience something at its best like I did in splinterlands and for this game, I have not decided but will do it if I continue with my gaming journey.

You need to have a metamask wallet to transact on this game and this is a good thing because now with this implementation you do need not to keep any funds in the game account. Whatever gold you will buy is going to be in your game account and there is no need to keep anything else in the game account which can be in the form of another crypto coin. Non-custodial wallets are good to use and highly recommended and I'm glad that this game has already adopted the same culture in which they do not encourage the players to keep any coin in their game account instead the meta mask itself is sufficient to perform the transactions. This way players get hold of their funds and they can transact whenever they want.

Overall this is a good game to try and if you are someone who likes to play resource management games in which you get various resources to be used for different purposes. This game is currently in alpha mode which means the team is focused on figuring out any issues or perks while playing and the game was released in June 2023. it's great that the Leo Finance team has done the collaboration with the game team and because of that we have it on the hive so I am sure they will be providing some options to integrate hype or hbd for us to buy assets with ease. many of us might not be using the meta mask wallets so if HIVE/HBD coin is added then it can be good for hive users.
