I enjoy Free Speech at Hive

Freedom of speech is the right for every individual but sadly some of the online platforms are not following these principles. Now a lot of people talk about Web 3 and this is because they know it is decentralised. So before we proceed further we need to understand the difference between centralized and decentralized. The web 2 is completely centralized and this is why the companies who own these platforms have complete control and they can do whatever they want. On the other hand web 3 is decentralised and it is not controlled by any company. In a way, we can say that it's a community built on the blockchain and no censorship exists in this world of web 3.

I have seen so many people leaving this centralized platform because their accounts were controlled by the platform itself. It is sad because those people who are dependent on their earnings and all of a sudden everything was stopped without any prior notification. This is not the right approach and surely it doesn't offer the freedom of speech which can also be called free speech.

I'm active mostly on Hive and a little bit on Twitter. I am active on high because I enjoy writing on this platform and it is the best place to write about any genre and topic. Nobody is going to censor your content. Nobody is also going to put some restrictions on your account if you are not doing anything that is against any community. This means we have the free speech and we have the freedom to talk about any topic. Social media is all about sharing thoughts and content with other people and if that is restricted then surely it is not a free place to write about anything.

I'm not active on other platforms like YouTube because they censor the account whenever they want and they do not bother to inform the user in advance. Some content creators have been working on these platforms for decades but still, they lost access to their accounts just because of unfair regions. I don't want to be that example and this is why I never started as a creator journey on those platforms. It's better to be at the place where you are valued and hive is that place for me. I hope these platforms running sensors in programs learn something from the new age Internet which is called Web 3 where decentralization is given to every individual by default. Even content monetization is easy on Web 3 because it is default available for everyone.

I can say that I have not been part of any platform where I was censored in the past and I don't want to be and this is why I spend more of my time on this platform where I can do whatever experiment I want to do with my content creation. No such guidelines to follow as long as I follow fair practice and specifically based on my thoughts nobody is going to censor me and that's the best part about it where the freedom of speech is the basic entitlement for everyone.
