Feathered Friends: Hungry Visitors

The theme for Round 98

SHOW ME A PICTURE OF BIRD

FOOD IN THE BEAK



The brown head cowbird with seeds in his mouth.

He was a feathered visitor stopping by in the summertime and stayed about a week, hanging around the backyard, then on to greener pastures.





The cowbird didn’t seem to bother the blue jay as they peacefully shared the bird seeds.





Now the dove is another matter. He is not as sociable when eating and gives the blue jays the evil eye.





Always plenty of the pretty blue jays around. They will squabble amongst themselves but come together regularly to the backyard for food.

In wintertime there could be as many as twenty jays stop by every morning. I do like to see them.

I give them leftovers, seeds, cat food and peanuts. They will hang around and try to steal peanuts from the squirrel.





The cute little chickadee likes peanuts and cashews too.





Jumping for joy after eating a few peanuts.

Thanks Hannes and for your generosity. Yes the chickadee is adorable with his little round body.

We are having a windy snow storm today. ⛄️ The first of the season and not too chilly.

Here it's gray and cold, but not as cold as it should be this time of year. But the weatherman predicts freezing temperatures and also snow for the next days - we'll see.

It's a busy week - the time befor Christmas until the New Year is the busiest of the year, but that way the days run so much faster 😁

OMG te blue birds are really pretty!! i have seen those birds in cartoons but is actually the first time i seem them in real life! what a surprise

I’m glad you enjoyed seeing the jays. It’s like I have pet blue jays for they are always around my yard.

Some very nice photos of birds! I could never capture birds with my mobile camera; we have many birds around the garden!

They are quite difficult to spot but I could hear their songs!
