Tiny Grass Blue butterfly | Zizula hylax

I"m back here again and on this occasion I want to show you some beautiful shots of the Tiny Grass Blue butterfly. In Latin, this butterfly is called Zizula hylax which comes from the Lycaenidae family. This butterfly is one of the butterflies that is easy to find. Even though it is easy to find, it is very difficult to photograph it, considering its very small body size.

The colors of this butterfly are very beautiful. The upper wings are metallic blue while the lower wings are gray decorated with black spots, broken brown lines and black lines on the edges. This pattern gives an elegant impression to this beautiful butterfly. The upper surface of its wings is visible only when it is flying. If it stops somewhere, the wings are closed tightly, not moved at all, only the two antennas are played.

The flight distance of this butterfly is also very short and low. They flew among the colorful flower plants and grass, never getting above it. They fly low to protect themselves from predators and also to avoid being blown away by the wind. Considering its very small body, it certainly won't be able to fight the wind if it isn't protected by plants.
