Acehnese Goat Curry Recipe, How to Make and Its Benefits for Body Health.

Hello culinary lovers and #foodiesbeehive lovers, how are you all. I pray that you are well. May your days be full of happiness. This afternoon my beloved husband brought mutton home, I was confused about how to cook it, of course I've seen my mother cook goat curry for dinner. The spices that are given are very special in our area, namely Acehnese goat curry.



When cooking curries, both goat and chicken, my mother always uses coconut gonseng in her aceh language (U seunelei). Do you know what gonseng coconut is made of? Of course from grated coconut. In our area, cooking curry without coconut gonseng is not complete and the food will not be said to be delicious by our family. If meat dishes are mixed with gonseng coconut, everyone will raise their thumbs and say yesss delicious. Now…. dear friend, before we start cooking, let's find out first, the benefits and dangers of goat meat for body health.

Many people think that eating goat meat will cause the risk of heart disease, cholesterol, and blood pressure to rise, it is caused by eating too much or too much goat meat, but if consuming goat meat properly it will not have a bad impact on health but is very beneficial for health. Among other things, the body is able to prevent anemia, because goat meat contains high calcium and iron.

Goat meat is also able to lose weight, who wants to be slim, it is highly recommended to consume goat meat, goat meat can also accelerate the body's metabolism, if you experience wrinkles or aging it is very good to consume goat meat, because goat meat contains acids, fats and omega 3, so that our skin will get antioxidant protection

Well… culinary lover friends, let's see what ingredients are needed when cooking kambig curry. let's take a peek.....

  1. Basic ingredients
    Goat meat that has been chopped and covered with salt to taste and given orange juice


2.Ingredients for hot coconut

  • Prepare 1 coconut, divide into two, half for coconut milk and half for gonseng coconut, then grate the coconut.


  • The coconut gonseng, without giving oil and water, my friend. Gonseng on low heat.




  • If it is brown, the coconut is dry and emits a pungent aroma, then the coconut is ripe


  • Then put it in a blender, add 1 tablespoon of vegetable cooking oil and then puree the coconut.





3.The spices/spices used

  • 6 pieces of red chili
  • 3 dried red cebe
  • 10 pieces of cayenne pepper
  • teaspoon pepper
  • tablespoon pepper
  • spoon of sweet ginger
  • 2 cm turmeric
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 3 cloves of red onion

If you add galangal, ginger, and nutmeg, it is highly recommended, because there is no stock at home, the seasoning is not so complete.




Then puree the spices into one




4.Then prepare 1 bowl of coconut milk for complement



  1. Prepare The Seasoning for sauteing
  • 1 clove of chopped onion
  • 3 dragon gapu
  • 2 pandan leaves
  • 2 pieces of temuruh leaves
  • 3 cloves

If there is add cinnamon, the seasoning for sauteing is a spice that makes dishes fragrant. If it is not equipped with spices then the taste and aroma that comes out of the curry is not good.

After we know the ingredients for making curry, now let's move on to the next stage, which is how to make goat curry.

  1. Coat the meat with the spices that have been mashed until smooth, then coat again with gonseng coconut, then set aside.



  1. Pour 3 tablespoons of oil into the pan, then heat it, then pour the sauteed spices into the hot oil, stir until it releases a delicious aroma.





3.Pour the meat that has been smeared earlier into the stir-fried spices, let it boil for a while and all the spices come together naturally, let stand for 2 minutes, stir gently. This is so that the meat feels tender and does not harden when bitten.



  1. Then add the coconut milk and stir gently. Then add a pinch of salt, if it is just right, let it boil for 15 minutes.




  1. If the meat is tender, and the sauce tastes just right, it's ready to be served.




Well,,,, my dear friend, it's very easy not to make goat curry, we often eat goat curry at restaurants or other restaurants, why don't we ever make it at home, then eat with family, it tastes the same as restaurant recipes. Dinner with goat curry feels like dinner in a special place.

Sometimes we eat goat meat too. But not too often because it's not an easy meat to find in my zone, I like the way you flavoured it and the curry made with coconut gonseng, nice way to prepare curry ❤️
