dCity | Taking a Look at my Neglected City and Trying to Pay of Student Debt

dCity is one of the more successful crypto games here on the Hive platform. You've been probably hiding under a rock if you haven't heard of it yet. While it's not as big as a few years ago, it's still a solid form of entertainment and some passive income, especially if you got in earlier.

I'm not in the top of all the cities in this game by any means, but it does still generate a few HIVE every now and then for me. Ever since all the updates, I've been just selling the SIM I receive on an almost daily basis for HIVE. SIM are the in-game currency used.

I also noticed students appearing which I read a little about, and also that these students (student cards) eventually morphed into students with debt. They all gave a tax refund on income, so I let them be. Little did I know that these in debt students could be upgraded. By paying of debt, these students can randomly become some other type of trained citizen.

In my absent behavior a total of 155 students with debt have gathered in my city. It costs 70 SIM to get a student out of debt, so with my plan to get all of them out of it, I purchased 10850 SIM to get started.

Unfortunately, this is where I stop writing this post, since the option to click on Pay Debt is disabled. After a quick search on the topic, I couldn't figure out what I was missing, but I'm guessing some kind of building like a University Campus is required. The question now is if I'm invested enough to dig deeper or if I just sell the students eventually. Very anti-climactic, I know.

LOL I am probably one of them, not because I am not heard of them, but because I was kinda super late to hear about them. And that is the reason I am not playing the game. nice that you still getting some rewards out of the game.
