What excites me about the future and what scares you about the future.
I have read a few posts from the community talking about this subject, and all of them are talking about AI.
I also thought I would talk about it.. since it is the most important recent development, affecting us all, directly or indirectly.
It is in everyone's lips, because this is such an important event that is going to shape humanity's near future.
The reason why it is now becoming so powerful and advanced is thanks to the evolution of technology and programming, as well as the capacity of computers that can handle larger algorithms.
There are so many advantages for people in our day to day. It can help us with the tedious work and give us time to focus on the creativity or inspirational work.
But at the same time, it will definitely be very negative in other aspects... people's jobs doing these kind of work that the AI can quickly do it for you are at risk. Such as content creation.. writing, illustration, all kind of images and videos can be made in a second...
Also, it is scary the amount of scammers that will try to simulate anything to get every single penny from you. Now, with AI, they can simulate your face, your voice, ... anything..
Not only scary that they can scam you.. but it could be even worse.. using your image or your voice to commit a crime or fraud.. "identity theft" or "impersonation".
Soon we will have robots doing the hard work for us.. Like this cute robot from a hot pot restaurant I went the other day

It's good to know the advantages and disadvantages of these advanced technologies. Some of us for sure would be glad to experience this technology. But many workers might suffer due to its existence.
Hopefully it is under control and it is more advantages than disadvantages that we get from it.

Moving into a new era is scary, many accept without questioning. Breath of fresh air hearing a younger generation raise concerns about the future with AI.
Becoming more reliant on machinery/robots to do certain tasks may be advantageous in many sectors envisaged, allowing yourself to become total dependent on completing simple task of writing, reading, able to accomplish tasks to keep ones brain active to me is a scary prospect.
Where does one draw a line in the sand and say enough?

I think that is the concerning point.. the line is actually a really big gray area and there will have to be constant talks about what is good to go for and what it is not.
The rich who hide in the dark pulling strings controlling this world will decide without asking, there is no such thing as democracy, I sometimes wonder if there ever was.

I'm so with you on this! AI is exciting, but we can't ignore the potential risks. We need to make sure we're using it responsibly and ethically.
