Greetings friends and nature lovers. In the surroundings of the region where I live, in the east of Havana, there are many scenic wonders created by natural agents that modify nature and create varied and beautiful forms of relief.

One of these natural forms of great beauty that cause me great admiration is the canyon of the Cojímar River. It is an erosive cut created by the Cojímar River in the coastal limestone heights north of Havana, which were deeply directed by this fluvial course as they were gradually lifted by tectonic forces.

This canyon leads the river to its mouth on the north coast in the area known as Boca de Cojímar, in an estuarine channel where its waters communicate with the sea.

The landscape of this environment marked by the manifestation of complex geological and fluvial processes, and by the exuberant vegetation of beautiful greenery, make this site one of my favorite places to visit. Saludos amigos y amantes de la naturaleza. En el entorno de la región dónde vivo, en el este de La Habana, existen muchas maravillas paisajísticas creadas por los agentes naturales que modifican la naturaleza y crean variadas y hermosas formas del relieve.

Una de estas formas naturales de gran belleza y que me causan gran admiración es el cañón del río Cojímar. Es un corte erosivo creado por el río Cojímar en las alturas costeras de calizas del norte de La Habana, las cuales fueron direccionadas profundamente por este curso fluvial a medida que se iban levantando gradualmente por las fuerzas tectónicas.

Este cañón conduce al río hasta su desembocadura en la costa norte en la zona conocida como Boca de Cojímar, en un canal estuarino dónde sus aguas se comunican con el mar.

El paisaje de este entorno marcado por la manifestación de procesos geológicos y fluviales complejos, y por la exuberante vegetación de hermoso verdor, hacen de este sitio uno de mis lugares preferidos a visitar.
