Hello to all my friends,I hope everyone is well.I hope your days are going well. I am also good with your support.
friends, tomorrow is the last day or we can say 10th day of Navaratri . As I discussed in my Dusshera celebration post Dusshera is the festival which celebrated for 10th day of Navaratri. friends, tomorrow I am going to Dusshera festival at Almora bazaar.it shows the vast culture of Indian society which will motivate and influence many people all around the globe.Dusshera is known as Vijayadashami because lord Rama defeats the demon king Ravana.Dussehra, also spelled as Dashera, is a vibrant and significant Hindu festival celebrated in India and other parts of the world with enthusiasm and fervor. This joyous occasion typically falls in the Hindu calendar month of Ashwin, which corresponds to September or October in the Gregorian calendar. The word "Dussehra" is derived from two Sanskrit words: "Dasha," which means ten, and "Hara," which means defeat. Hence, Dussehra symbolizes the triumph of good over evil.

The main reason behind the celebration of Dussehra is to commemorate the victory of Lord Rama over the demon king Ravana. According to the epic Ramayana, Lord Rama, with the help of his divine powers and the support of an army of monkeys led by Hanuman, defeated the ten-headed demon Ravana and rescued his beloved wife, Sita, from captivity. Dussehra marks the day when Lord Rama vanquished Ravana after a fierce battle that lasted for ten days. This event is considered the embodiment of righteousness, truth, and the ultimate victory of good forces over evil.

In simple terms, Dussehra is a day of celebration and thanksgiving for the triumph of good qualities like love, courage, and virtue. It's a reminder that no matter how powerful evil may seem, it can be defeated through righteousness and faith. The festival is observed with grand processions, cultural performances, and the burning of effigies of Ravana, his brother Kumbhakarna, and his son Meghnad. These effigies symbolize the defeat of evil and are set ablaze with fireworks, filling the night sky with dazzling colors.

Dussehra also varies in its significance in different regions of India. In the eastern parts, particularly in West Bengal, it is synonymous with the culmination of Durga Puja, celebrating the goddess Durga's victory over the buffalo demon Mahishasura. In the southern state of Mysore, it is marked by a grand procession of a beautifully adorned elephant, carrying the idol of the goddess Chamundeshwari.

Beyond its religious connotations, Dussehra brings people together to celebrate the values of righteousness and the indomitable spirit of good. It serves as a reminder that, in the end, goodness and truth will always triumph over evil, a message that resonates with people of all backgrounds and beliefs.

Friends, there was so much crowd in the market that it was becoming very difficult to walk.

People start making these effigies from the first day of Navratri. Because it takes approx six-seven days to make it.

As soon as we started burning the effigies, it was around 10 o'clock and it was getting very cold. But not all the effigies had come so I saw two or three effigies being burnt so I took some pictures with my phone. After that my friend (Chhotu) said let's go now and it was getting very cold. So we left from there for home. As soon as we left it was 11 o'clock and by that time not all the effigies had arrived.

I took these pictures on my own mobile realme 11pro+.
I am sure you liked it, friends, thanks for giving your precious time to my post, Stay safe & have a great day ahead. Thanku for looking And reading.๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™
