Interaction and relationship is very much needed in this world and we apparently cannot do without it. We all are made for each other so there is no way you’d come to this world and decide to stay away from people. We need each other and we are made for each other.
The fact that we all are made for each other still does not mean that we should just accept everyone into our lives. It is going to be costing us a lot. Knowing too many people can be very good but at the end of the day, it may be draining especially because not everyone will be for you.

The fact that we need people or having too many people in our lives may not be good does not mean you should not know your boundaries. In this life, it is very important to make sure that we set limits when it comes to our relationships with human beings.
We may sometimes go extra mile for the people we live. It is normal because anyone can do it for us but I don’t think it will make sense to help others at the detriment of ourselves.
I’ve seen so many situations where some people prioritize the lives of the people around them even more than themselves. I feel no matter how much you may love someone, they may be close to your heart but put them in their space.

Who was I?

I used to be that girl who always prioritize the interest of others and forget mine. My friend may call me tang she needs help and I may even go to the extent of transferring all the funds in my account and I may be left with nothing.

On the long run, I may even realize that the person I helped took the money I dashed her to the club and I was meant to use the money for something very important.

I even got to realize that most people we help and the extent at which we go does not worth it. I was supposed to go for an interview someday and my friend was not feeling too well. Try, there were some other people around her but I chose to follow her thinking that I would be able to meet up for the interview but I could not.
I could have just gone for the interview and go to check her at the hospital later and I went late for the interview. It might be worth it but why leave my life totally to attend to someone else especially when it is something that can be postponed.

I still help people and I do it a lot but not at the detriment of myself.
The minimalist approach I took towards helping people has made my life better. I found peace and I even had more time for myself due to the fact that I don’t have to go extra for anyone especially those who do not worth it to the point of me feeling inconvenient.
If I ever realize that I’d have to inconvenience myself because I want to help someone else, I won’t go further.
The only people I can go extra mile for are my family members.
Family is everything.
