Do You Think The Government Should Open Your Country's Border?

Let me start from the situation of my country. It is just like Nigerians are living in a mini hell and a lot of people are running away from the country. At the same time, some people like me cannot leave the country because we do not have enough money for flight to another country. Also, if I am to travel to another country, I will make sure that it is a country filled with a lot of opportunities that I can easily get job and I can make a lot of money if I work hard within a few years.

Well, opening the border is just like a freedom to some people in some particular countries most especially the Nigerians. At the same time, there are other people who are not pleased with the situation of their country and they really want to leave but they cannot. If they open the border, things will get cheaper. There are some goods that are being imported from other countries and they pay a lot of money just to smuggle them into the country. If the border is open, they will not need to pay any amount of money because they want to bring goods inside the country and we will even buy those products at a cheaper rate. The major reason why most good are expensive is because of the fee the business owners pay at the border. At the same time, people will be able to travel to any country of their choice. They may decide to go to Canada today and go to Finland tomorrow if it is possible. You are going to have different experiences and different views about a lot of countries so it is an amazing thing.

Well, there is nothing that has its merit that does not have its demerit. As long as we have an advantage of opening the border, there are some disadvantages that will come with it. Let us take a country like Canada as an example. If Canada border is open, a lot of people will move in which is normal. At the same time, there will be increase in crime rate. Some people will even go to the extent of smuggling guns and other ammunitions into the country. Why do we think a lot of countries protect their countries at the border so that their enemies will not penetrate the country. At the end of the day, there will be war in the country so it is better to protect the country by closing the border and do a thorough check for anything and anyone who wants to come into it.

Also, there will be over population and under population in some countries which is not very good. Some countries will suffer from inflation and scarcity of goods because they will be over populated. A lot of people want to go to top tier countries like the United States and others.

At the end of it all, we all will realize that it is not advisable for all countries to open their borders. The best way to protect their countries is by closing their borders.
