Needlework monday:let's crochet a flower bouquet 💐

Hello again!how are you guys doing.I've been into crochet lately and with every new day I am learning new patterns and tricks to make alot of different things.This is spring season and my favourite season so I decided to crochet flowers to compliment that season.At first I was going to made only one flower but when I crochet it I decided to crochet a whole bouquet to gift my friend.She gave me eid gifts few days back so I thought it would be nice to gift her something too.Handmade things carry more sentiments and can be cherished for years without wilting.
Additionally crochet allow you to choose your favourite colour and make things however you want them.

So let's get started.

Material required

1-white pink and green yarn 🧶
2-2.00mm crochet hook 🪝
3-wooden sticks
4-Any adhesive
3-scissors ✂️

The process

MAKING PETALS
R1-SC and 68 chains
make 2nd chain on the first chain
starting from Second stitch

R3- Dc and (skip 2 stcs ,ch 2 dc at the same st)*22, ch2

R4-2d,Ch 2 in same space)*22, ch2
R5-8dc in same 2ch space ,sc in next small space.

Slip stitch and cut the yarn.Flower is ready.

Then to make the stem of flower I used wooden sticks but they were too thin so to make the flower that can last long I glued three of them together.

Then I attached the flower with its stem using UHU(a adhesive) I rolled the long chain upon itself to get the flower shape.

Pattern for sepals

1- a magic rings

2-then make 4 ch
3-make 25 Dc in the magic ring
4-close the ring with Sc
5-pull the yarn to make the ring smaller to fit the flower stem.
6-make the leaves by making 10 ch from slip stitch and then make a 2 sc downwards of the chain,then make 2 hdc(half double crochet)

Then dc till the end of chain then stitch the whole leaf with the magic ring.

Go on repeating this pattern to get the sepals.

Then it's time to brings all things together.
I firstly wrap the green yarn over the wooden sticks to make it a look like an actual stem.Then I attached the sepals with it .

And the process is co completed.

I repeated the same pattern for other four flowers.
I think it was a good idea to make a whole bouquet 💐 instead of a single flower🌼 .
It turned out so well.I plan to work on different types of flowers in every color and make beautiful flower bouquets.
My friend sell the crochet things and her small business is doing very well so I also think that I should work on my skills and sell them online.
