looking for shadows: trees, meanders, lattices... and legs!

This is a post for Smash contest ~ Round 265
It was a while since I posted last time to this community...
So: 'Hi!' again. I invite you to walk along the alleys and back streets of St.Petersburg on a sunny day - we will surely find one or two shadows if we look carefully around.

Just a pigeon shepherd grazing his flock on the lawn while having fun on his smartphone... trivia! but look at all the luxurious patterns of shadows around him.

Walking thru this alley along the palaces, I was really enchanted with this scene of a tree, complete shady tree cast at the different parts of the building.

Looked so appealing to me, that I stopped to take several doubles.

"Russian Greyhound" is an elite type of dog that I occasionally meet on the streets, and which invariably leads me to admiration. (In my opinion, they are rather hard to keep, as they were breed for speed and require a lot of active walking).

A street musician, playing accordion. I saw him several times sitting at the same spot, and playing invariably one hit song - 'Kalinka'. I took several portrait shots (they are simply heartbreaking! or bleeding...) and the last one, focused specifically on the shadow it casted.

The next one I was tremendously excited of and almost jumping when I noticed it.

I'm sure it could make a great entry for "guess the shadow" contest - most likely no one could guess that its a swing's shadow. In fact, we have here some kind of exclusive, creative DIY stuff... I have never seen such a swing and did not even suspect this is possible... and, of course, it provides a pretty exclusive shade -- to me looks like some kind of a fairy snake. What will you say, mates? how do you feel about it? (of course, theres always a possibility nobody is reading at all, just slide in a fast mode thru the gallery...)

A bit funny and and unexpected result. Here I was actually photographing a monument to an angel, and another photographer's shadow got into the frame; in the photo - it looks like he is trying to catch this dove (or at least his shadow). A funny accident that formed the frame! I love such coincidences...

These are pretty epic! I'm as enamoured by some of the subjects as much as the shadows. Trees make fantastic shadows, as does the dog! Dogs might be my favourite things of all time, and that greyhound looks pretty pleased.

oh! I did not know that. I happily managed to take another pic of this hound, really 'nailed an ultimate moment' (almost like Cartie-Bresson) ... pretty funny... I will not tell what it is, but definitely will share it soon under the #streets label. do check :D

Man, those are some awesome shadows, the accident one is so nice where the shadow of the photographer is trying to hold the dove.

I wonder what they use to make that swing? are they just a big rope which usually used in boats?

Love the golden color of those shots, so warm.

just a big rope which usually used in boats, I guess so. not sure why it has this flattened-bar shape instead of cylindrical, like a regular rope ( maybe this was done with a press?...) Anyway, cool find it was indeed. Thank you for stopping by and sharing love. Sadly, I am already out of hive pizza already but have !BEER in the fridge! 🍻

Any shadows a way to go. Ofc if you can find something more enigmous and elegant or bizarre forms, that would be more cool. Just look around well! Cheers 🙏
