HELLO COMMUNITY!🕹️

Today I want to share with you this visit to the video game nostalgia event in Lisbon, Portugal. It was really a memorable weekend. I had a few hours of fun with my family, and today I have the pleasure to share it in this community, so let's open the drawer of our childhood memories and travel to the past, when we were kids and spent hours playing video games to learn and have fun all day long.

OPENING THE TRUNK OF MEMORIES🧒

When I was a kid, I loved TV and video games, so to go to the event, my partner and I decided to dress up as one of my favorite series I watched as a kid, and it was Kim Possible, plus it was a not very complicated cosplay to recreate. We didn't look the same as the reference photo, but I liked the result nonetheless.

WELCOME TO OEIRAS GAMING.👾

Here we have the museum of nostalgia that is ours, the process that have passed the videos of years after years, and thanks to this event we will have the pleasure to enjoy and watch the videos and games that our ancestors used. But what is the purpose of this event? This event is dedicated to education, to teach people the evolution of technology and sociocultural evolution of the world.

DECORATION OF THE EVENT.🎮

When I entered the event, the first thing I saw were video games all over the place and retro-style decorations. Also at the event, there were some big-size figures of iconic video game characters. Another detail that I thought was really cool at the event was that they had old portable consoles in showcases all over the place.

GAMES.🕹️

Now let's talk about the important thing, how many games did I get to try at the event? Actually, there were so many that I don't even remember the name of some of them, also others I had already played when I was little. One of the first games I tried was the machine game. Personally I know this type of game as pinball, but I know that in many countries it has different names. It was a lot of fun after so many years to play it again. Since one of the first Donkey Kong and Sonic from the first playstation did not go unnoticed. But the jewel of the attraction in the place were the very old video game consoles. For example, I had a lot of fun playing Pong, a game from the 70s. Another point to comment is that at the event I discovered that things when I was little, that were a novelty in technology, something new and exclusive, are now part of the retro group. It really is amazing how technology advances faster than we do...

NEW GENERATION.🖥️

Of course, a gaming event had to include the technology we have today, from virtual reality to PC gaming, realistic racing and flight simulators, which were also waiting for you to try out.

INFORMATIVE TALK.👯

In the middle of the event, there was a presentation of a girl who is a professional cosplayer. For the last 8 years, she has been going to events and preparing her own cosplay by hand. In the presentation, she explained ways to save money in the process, how to pose the idea in your costume in the correct way, and other tips.

I WOULD GO TO THE EVENT AGAIN?⁉️

I had a great time at this event, and I would definitely come back with friends and family because we will all awaken our inner child that grew up with video games at this event. All the gadgets that are on site are totally free; you only pay the 7€ entrance fee, and you have access to use all the games available and free water.

🌿Thank you very much for reading my post. I hope you liked my adventure today. Have a great day.🌿
