Here's a warm welcome back to the untold secrets of a battle mage. I have so far shared my approach to four (4) rulesets and I have come to introduce you to another. Splinterlands seeks to sharpen skills by allowing players explore various strategies via rulesets. I have tried to study a few cards especially with the newly introduced rulesets, giving one more reasons to know what cards strongly suits them.

Before the start of any battle, each player is shown what ruleset is allowed in battle and it is extremely beneficial to read and strategize accordingly. The ruleset secret I will be sharing you to in this post is the 🛡ARMORED UP🛡.

ARMORED UP RULESET implies that ALL Monsters have 2 Armor in addition to their normal Armor stat.

With this in mind,

 Players are advised to use magic attacks^(a), but know that your opponent may do the same, so focus on Monsters Health Point^(b). This ruleset is countered by Rust or Wizard of Eastwood's summoner ability.^(c)

This is an interesting ruleset and I have a battle to demonstrate it's use and a possible lineup that works for mid-high mana battle. Before we charge into the battlefield, I'll introduce you to the monsters and why I picked them.

⚔️ TEAM LINE-UP ⚔️

☠️MIMOSA NIGHTSHADE - SUMMONER

MIMOSA NIGHTSHADE is an extraordinary 3-star⭐️⭐️⭐️ Legend destined for greatness. Once upon a time, a poor shivering child abandoned in the alleys of Beluroc and now a well respected summoner, picked by LORD OF DARKNESS and brought to Mortis. She is a well trained summoner and when in battle she Afflicts all her enemies, causing their wounds never to heal. She then grants the Void ability to the warriors fighting alongside her, protecting them from Magic spell casters, and finally takes away -1 Range attack from all range enemy monsters.

👉WHY I PICKED MIMOSA NIGHTSHADE

I am hoping that my enemy come at me with Magic attackers, MIMOSA NIGHTSHADE offers team monsters the void that works against Magic and also the Affliction that makes sure they never heal from the damage.

☠️LORD OF DARKNESS - FIRST POSITION

LORD OF DARKNESS is the Lord of battle, and he leads the team to victory with his amazing abilities. When he is injured, his ENRAGE ability is activated. He STUN his assailant, leading them to lose control of the situation, losing a turn to strike. A 3-star ⭐️⭐️⭐️ warrior with the SHIELD ability, which shields him from melee attacks, and if hit by a melee attack monster. I have employed him solely for this purpose, to absorb hits.

👉WHY I PICKED LORD OF DARKNESS

focus on Monsters Health Point^(b).

I picked LORD OF DARKNESS mainly because of his high Health point. He already has very decent defense, extra armor is not a bad idea.

☠️CABALIST - SECOND POSITION

👉WHY I PICKED CABALIST

use magic attacks^(a), but know that your opponent may do the same

I picked CABALIST because of first he is a Magic attacker and also for His demoralize ability which weakens enemies defense.

Then next comes DEATH ELEMENTAL, a 6-star⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ magical creature with the SNIPE that targets enemy monsters with ranged or magic attacks, as well as those with no attacks but not front-liners and finally this creature SILENCE which reduces magic attack of all enemy monsters.

👉WHY I PICKED DEATH ELEMENTAL

DEATH ELEMENTAL is also a Magic attacker and it's sting of death, the Silence will work against my opponent whom I expect to come against me with Magic too.

Next comes LIRA THE DARK, with her excellent OPPORTUNITY ability allows her to attack from any position as she drains the life out of the enemy with lowest health. She is SWIFT and SNARE on the flying enemies, by removing their flying ability causing great damage and she has never failed to hit her target.

👉WHY I PICKED LIRA THE DARK

I picked LIRA THE DARK because of her health points and surely abilities will work against the weakest monster on enemy lineup, also she will give an added speed advantage to her team monsters. She is a Range attacker and the summoner will give her a +1 edge against other enemy range monsters.

Finally in backline comes DHAMPIR STALKER a exceptional half-vampire with extraordinary strength. He deals a DEATHBLOW to last standing enemy, 2x the damage and his TRUE STRIKE causes him never to miss.

• The Enemy came at me with the Death element, Enemy-ZINTAR MORTALIS as Summoner. ENEMY-HAUNTED SPIRIT in first position, ENEMY-SPINEBACK WOLF in second position, ENEMY-SAND WORM in third position, ENEMY-PHANTOM SOLDIER in fourth position, ENEMY-TWISTED JESTER in fifth position, and finally ENEMY-OCTOPIDER in last position. Let's see what happened.

• SUMMONER-MIMOSA NIGHTSHADE immediately Afflicts and takes away from -1 Range attack from enemies ranged monsters.

• ENEMY-SUMMONER ZINTAR MORTALIS takes away -1 Melee from my team melee monsters.

• DEATH ELEMENTAL Silences all enemy monsters.

• LIRA THE DARK grants all team monsters the Swiftness ability.

• The CABALIST used a strong magic spell to Demoralize all enemy melee attack monsters.

• LIRA THE DARK launches first attack at ENEMY-SPINEBACK WOLF affecting its health.

• DEATH ELEMENTAL swoops in and Snipes at ENEMY-PHANTOM SOLDIER.

• There's a couple of Missed magic attacks by enemy monsters on my team monsters due to their void abilities.

• DHAMPIR STALKER strikes at ENEMY-HAUNTED SPIRIT, removing us defense and leaving the enemy vulnerable to direct health damage.

• LIRA THE DARK spots the weakest health monster and strikes, this is then followed by LORD OF DARKNESS who finishes off the job by eliminating ENEMY- HAUNTED SPIRIT.

• CABILIST cast a death spell on ENEMY-SPINEBACK WOLF, giving room for DHAMPIR STALKER to finish this enemy off easily.

• ENEMY-SAND WORM steps in position and is met by brutal attack. LIRA THE DARK again spota weakest enemy health and strikes at ENEMY-TWISTED JESTER, while DEATH ELEMENTAL focuses his attack on ENEMY-PHANTOM SOLDIER.

• DHAMPIR STALKER takes a long range, aims and doesn't miss his shot at ENEMY-SAND WORM, killing him immediately.

• ENEMY- PHANTOM SOLDIER steps in position and is also met by brutal attack. LIRA THE DARK again spots weakest enemy health and strikes at ENEMY-TWISTED JESTER, while DEATH ELEMENTAL now also focuses his attack on same Enemy.

• DHAMPIR STALKER takes out another silent arrow, targets ENEMY-PHANTOM SOLDIER and eliminates him instantly.

• ENEMY-OCTOPIDER strikes at LORD OF DARKNESS, it's been a bloodbath. LIRA THE DARK strikes at ENEMY-TWISTED JESTER, killing it immediately.

• With the last standing enemy monster, DHAMPIR STALKER using his Deathblow ability, finishes up the job by instantly killing ENEMY-OCTOPIDER, no monster can survive 2 times this damage.

🛡A RECAP OF THE ARMORED UP RULESET🛡

In battles that use the 🛡Armored Up🛡 ruleset, all monsters have an additional 2 points of armor in addition to their normal armor stat. This can make battles more challenging, as physical attacks may be less effective than usual.

To succeed in Armored Up, players should focus on using magic attacks, which are not affected by armor. However, they should also be aware that their opponents may be doing the same, so it is important to focus on monsters' health points and use abilities that can bypass defenses.

Additionally, players should be aware that the Armored Up ruleset can be countered by abilities such as Rust or the Wizard of Eastwood's summoner ability, which can remove armor from opponents. So, players should also consider including monsters with these abilities in their lineup to gain an advantage.

Overall, Armored Up can be a challenging, it requires careful strategy to succeed. By focusing on monsters' health points and using abilities such as shown in this battle that bypass armor, you can gain an advantage and emerge victorious in even the toughest battles.

• From this battle and my observation. This ability also played a great role, especially for a mid-high manna cap (30-45) like this which I enjoy.

👉 The SWIFTNESS ability which grants all team monsters extra speed making them +1 faster, monsters like LIRA THE DARK offers that. I would recommend this Lineup for a death Splinter deck💯.
