Gluttony & Sloth and Society.
Everyone, deserves a good health, but for that we have to make right choices from food to exercise. It is important what we eat and how much we eat. Similarly, it is important to indulge our body into physical activity. Either be it exercise or some kind of work. Healthy lifestyle is what the call of today time. Please do not expect doctors and hospitals, to do beyond repair jobs and that too if you are lucky enough.
According to Roman Catholic Theology, the seven deadly sins are the seven human behaviors or feeling, that inspire further sin. They are typical ordered as : Pride, Greed, Lust, Envy, Gluttony (habit of over eating) , Wrath and Sloth (laziness). I belive that gluttony and sloth are the two major problem in our society today.
Glutommy : People are in habit of over eating, especially in India I have seen people dying for free food. Whenever there is call for any function or party, the first question pops out is "khana milega na? (is food avaiavble?)*. Function or party are the source of free food and people tend to cross their own limit. Sometimes even at homes, they do not check their limit, resulting in over eating, which result in bad health.
Sloth or laziness are Generally the after effect of overeating. When you cross the limit your body tends stop responding. Making you feel sick and lazy. Your body need rest. Moreover the other reason of people being Sloth is that hesitate to do any physical work. The advent of computer and technological innovation, simply backfire the physical capability of humans. They are so mich affected that they tend to delay things. They are not readily ready to finish their work on time. Even I saw in my school, My friends unable to complete their homework. They have so much spare time but the laziness does not allow them to complete their task.
Earlier people were super active as compaired to today's generation. They have to finish the work by themselves doing all the things by themselves.
Technology does have some cons and sloth is one of them. My Dad use to say, if the things needs to be done, then why to wait and for what. Just do it! Nothing change if it get delayed.
Looking at both the aspect, I must say, that for healthy lifestyle , we must watch on both the aspect. And improve to put more focus to stay healthy and happy.
