TOURNEY REPORT #3 : FINISHED 5TH IN DARASTRIX TRAINING AND GET 36 SPS
Welcome back to my blog, @queen-silvia, In this Social Media Challenge, I would like to share to all of you the tourneys that I have participated in the first week of September 2022. The Tourney title is "Darastrix Modern Bronze Beginner Training" created by Splinterlands. So Basically @splinterlands has provided many kinds of tourney in each league, started from novice until Diamond league so that all of Splinterlands players can train and increase their skills through battle against other players based on what league they are used to play.
This article will explain about some of the following topics :
- Tourney Overview π‘
- Road to top 5 π
- Final Result βοΈ
- Announcement of the Giveaway #22 winner π
- Giveaway #24 π€
- TOURNEY OVERVIEW -
Darastrix tourney has bronze league level cap which means that players can only use maximum level of common (3), rare (2), epic (2) and legendary (1). There were 218 participants who have joined the party, Pretty high. Only modern cards can be used which means old edition cards like alpha and beta may not be used as this tourney is intended for new players. 1,185 SPS minimum need to be staked in order to be eligible to join, in higher tourney, the higher amount of SPS is needed.
Another interesting stuff from this tourney is that the rewards is distributed fairly among participants with slight difference between several ranks. So all players will be rewarded regardless their final position. In some other tourneys, we might find that most of rewards is given for the top 10 or so. No legendary summoners is allowed but not for legendary monsters.
- ROAD TO TOP 5 -
The type of tourney is anytime - 24 hours with 2 rounds so all players in each time zone can fill the matches whenever they are comfortable. Here is the result of round 1. In this round top 40% of all participants will be qualified to the next round :
There are 10 matches in round 1 and I have won 9 matches where 1 match lose against Foxconmars with "the explorer" title next to his name. As a lesson learned for me and all of you, let's take a look at the match where I had lose :
The battle consists of 46 mana where only even mana cost monsters are available to be used. My mistake in the battle was I put low health monsters in the back row so when my tank monsters died, all the remaining monsters can easily being killed too. The decision to put Revealer is right already as the ruleset is Heavy Hitters where the target will receive double damage when he is getting stunned.
And here is the result in round 2 :
There are 10 matches as well in the final round and I got 2 lose. The first lose was from the battle against @highhaschdi and the second lose was against @amaillo-m. Let's jump into the first one :
My mistake in the battle is that I used Drake of Arnak Summoner instead of Tarsa to keep all of the melee attack in their normal damage. As the opponent used Disintegrator, most of my melee monsters has 1 damage only and it has no effect against Living Lava in the first position and Antoid Platoon in the last position. He arranged his team very well. He deserved to win.
Here is the battle against amaillo-m :
My biggest mistake in the battle is putting Coral Wraith in the third position. Should I put her in the last, the result might difference since Amaillo's Merdaali Guardian will be killed. No healer in the backline which could kill Djinn Oshannus slowly. Amaillo's strategy is so good to put Djinn Oshannus to anticipate magic attack. This is the best match for me in the tourney.
- FINAL RESULT -
Well, I share the same result as Splinterlands-RU with the legionnaire title. We have met in round 2 and I won against him but he has the higher tie breaker so I have to be satisfied in fifth position. I'd like to say congratulations to @maplelicious as the winner, followed by @albee as the runner up and @martax in the third position. They got 40 SPS. amazing.
