GETTING THE THIRD SPOT AT THGAMING TOURNEY

Welcome back to my blog, @queen-silvia, In this Battle Weekly Challenge, I would like to share the best achievement of my tourney participation "this week". Well, Last week queen-silvia has gotten the first spot for two tourneys in a day and since third sport is my best performance this week so I don't have any other choice except sharing this result for the Hive community. It's not a bad result actually since the reward for the top 3 are same but I think it would be more interesting if we could finish as a champion, ha ha. Never mind, I'll try again next week and let's see the result 😊.
In this article I am going to show the most interesting match throughout the tourney. I wish the battle can give you additional new ideas to be practiced in every battle, either brawl, ranked battle or tournaments. It's really important to have wide range of tactics, whether offensive or defensive to win matches in any kind of ruleset. The way we overcome the opponents strategy based on their last 5 matches is very important to win the battle.

- TOURNEY OVERVIEW -
Well, there are 36 participants who have joined this tourney, not many but some of the veteran tourney players were joining, which means that we can have more ideas from them regarding battle strategies. There is no second round in this tourney so every player has to give their best and win as many matches regardless how strong their opponent in the same bracket. The fees for the tourney is 150 THGaming, it's pretty cheap, we can convert little amount of swap.hive for that 150 THGaming for the entrance fee.
All cards edition are available for the tourney since the type of tourney is wild. The top 3 winners get 250 DEC, 1 Chaos Legion Pack, 1000 THGaming and 25 LOLZ. The CL pack is the most precious one and whenever I got the pack, I always convert it into DEC so that I could rent many cards and practice more. Having enough DEC is very important for rental players to keep learning and improving the battle strategy.

For Those who are on the above list, Thank you for playing with me. That was very great game 🔥. In particularly @neophyte142068 who defeated me in this tourney. I was a bit confused picking some cards since the mana was high and I was thinking Taunt, 1 repair and 1 tank heal would not enough to hold the enemies attack and I was right, Kraken, the most important was being killed and I lose the match. Good Game 👍
- FINAL RESULT -
Well, here is the result of the tourney. @davethegreat and @aubryd got the perfect result with 8 Win and 0 Lose, awesome, Congratulations for both of you 😊. All of us (the top 3) got the same reward 🤣 : 250 DEC, 1000 THGaming, 1 Chaos Legion Pack and 25 LOLZ. All of those reward is decent enough to load up the number of my DEC to do some rental activities for the next tourneys. Congratulations for all the winners!

Well, since I was losing against @neophyte142068, let's discuss our battle in depth as our lesson learned. The battle link is available HERE
Alright, the mana cost is 30. It's considered high in my opinion. There are 3 splinters available in this match : Water, Earth, and Life. The 2 rulesets available are Super Sneak and Lost Magic. Both of them are very interesting, here is my opinion in both rulesets :
1. Super Sneak
This ruleset is kind of making players think that they can use melee monsters wherever they want since all the melee monsters can attack in this ruleset. Moreover, the second ruleset is Lost Magic so the possible attack in the match is between melee or ranged attack only. In my opinion some monsters who are good to be put in the last position are the ones who have the following skills : flying, shield and thorn ability.
2. Lost Magic
In this ruleset, no magic monsters allowed to be used. So We need to anticipate two kind of attacks in this ruleset ; Melee and ranged attack. In that case, Monster with shield ability at the first position will take important role to reduce all the attacks. Both Mylor or Ilthain are good for this ruleset.

- BATTLE ANALYSIS -
Alright everybody, for now, let's jump into the battle analysis :
Round 1
Alright, the purpose of battle analysis here is to discuss about why I was lost against neophyte. As you can see in the above picture, he strengthen his melee army with inspire ability and it makes all of his melee monsters gain 1 melee damage. The total damage of melee attack is 13 (before Halfling Alchemist hit the Demented Shark). My biggest mistake here is I should have to use 2 healer, instead of 1 healer and 1 armor repair. As the opponent attack is higher than my defence, my Kraken will be killed in the next round
Round 2
In this round, I lose My biggest tank, Kraken due to massive melee damage, and it makes my Deeplurker fill the first spot. Unfortunately 1 armor and 7 health point would not survive against 7 melee attack and 1 ranged attack. At this point, I should have to use melee counter, A Mylor Crowling along with some monsters who have shield and heal ability since in super sneak ruleset, the opponent will use melee monster a lot.
Round 3
In this round, my halfling alchemist got killed as he is so fragile with 1 armor and 1 health point only. 1 armor repair and 1 tank healer will give some protection for the Deeplurker but unfortunately all of my monsters in the back row is in danger. the opponent sneak attack will keep attacking them with the sneak ability.
Round 4
At this round, Merdaali Guardian got attacked 2 times and it makes her life point only 1 left. 3 melee attack from my Deeplurker would not enough to beat the opponent's Diemonshark but all of the enemies sneak monsters will kill my monsters in the backrow slowly and kill my Deeplurker in the end.
Round 5
Merdaali Guardian has defeated by Deeplurker and now no more tank healer for Deeplurker. The opponent melee monsters will attack Scavo Hireling as the next target and it will make the match looks unbalance. As we can see, until this round, My Deeplurker has lower HP than Diemonshark so no way he can win against Diemonshark.
Round 6 - 8
At the last 3 rounds, all of my monsters got killed with the solid attack from the Opponent Deeplurker, Uraeus and Diemonshark. I lost the battle. One thing which is very important to note is that use the proper strategy to counter any kind of attack, whether melee, ranged or magic attack.
- STRATEGY EXPLANATION -
Well, there are 2 lesson learned from this battle :
- Try to arrange counter for any kind of attack your opponent used, it could be melee, ranged or magic
- If you want to make an offensive team, try to arrange team with higher total attack who can defeat all the enemies monsters. The same case as defensive team, your defence should not be penetrated the defence should be stronger than enemies attack.
