BLINDING REFLECTOR, HIDDEN GEM AFTER GRANDMASTER RATHE RELEASED

Welcome back to my blog, @queen-silvia, In this Social Media Challenge, I would like to share about why Blinding reflector is a hidden gem after the release of Grandmaster Rathe. This article will also include the explanation about his abilities and the best position for him in the battlefield. As his mana cost is just 3 only, he can be used in almost ruleset except Even Stevens.

Alright, Blinding Reflector price was rising once the announcement of new life summoner, Grandmaster Rathe (who gives amplify and Void armor abilities to all of friendly monsters) has announced. As the ability is protecting monster from magic attack with void armor, every monster who has high armour or repair ability or magic reflect ability has increase in their price.

The second reason skill which is very overpower is the amplify, This is very great ability for every monster who has this ability to reflect the damage back to the attacker and then amplify it. So let say if the opponent's magic monster is giving 2 magic damage to the monster who has magic reflect and amplify, the attacker will also receive 2 magic damage. pretty interesting, isn't? No need to wait for the turn, the monster with magic reflect can give damage whenever they got attacked by another monster.

The third reason is Blind Reflector has very high armor (5 in just 3 mana cost), it allows his friendly monsters to repair his shield every turn. both magic and physical attack would hit the armor first before his health point. There are summoner and monsters who are able to do repair such as Chanseus the Great, Lone Boatman, Scavo Hireling, Adelaide Brightwing, etc.

The picture above shows us the Blinding Reflector stats and abilities. Overall he has 2 abilities, magic reflect and blind. magic reflect ability will return magic attack back to the attacker while the blind ability will increase the chance for the opponent's monster to miss their target. The chance of evading enemies attack is increased by 15%.

Regarding the attack, Blinding Reflector is a melee monster with 1 damage from lv.1 to lv.5 and start from lv.6 to lv.10, his melee attack increased into 2 damage. He is belong to slow monster as his speed is just 3 at maximum level. It does not really matter since his main utility is reflecting magic attack from the opponent.

At maximum level, He has a new ability, blind. This is very useful ability when we face the opponent who used melee and ranged attack monsters since the blind will increase the chance of the opponent attack to miss by 15%. Even 1 miss is very crucial to change the outcome of the battle result.

The best position for Blinding Reflector is the first position since he can return the magic damage back to the attacker. Most of magic attack direction is at the first position, some magic monsters have snipe ability which attack monster with no attack, ranged and magic monster in the backline. So, when you see the 5 recent battles opponents are having magic monster with snipe ability, the best move is to put Pelacor Conjurer in the second position since all the magic attack will go to him and it will be reflected back to the attacker.

Alright, as we can see in above picture, those 4 monsters have repair ability which means that not only able to attack the opponent, but they can also give protection to Blinding reflector as they will repair 2 armours for the monsters whose their armor has broken. In modern format, we can play Lone Boatman, Chanseus the Great and Adelade Brightwing. Armorsmith is only playable at Wild format since he is belong to promo card.

The next monsters that support Blinding reflector is Monsters who have protect ability, such as Defender of Truth, Truthspeaker and Silvershield Sheriff. When we are using Grandmaster Rathe as a summoner, the shield will be much more important as they can be used to protect against magic attack.

The next monster and summoner who can make Blinding Reflector become more powerful is for those who have amplify ability and life splinter has Dax Paragon and Grandmaster Rathe to increase the return damage, whether melee, ranged or magic attack. Grandmaster Rathe can be used most of the time but if the ruleset is Silenced summoners, we can use Dax Paragon to utilize amplify ability.
