BATTLE STRATEGY #1 : LAST STAND + MARTYR "SANDWICH" AT AIM TRUE RULESET

Welcome back to my blog @queen-silva. In this week, The Splinterlands Battle Challenge has a bit difference than before, As we can see 👀 in 👉Battle Mage Secret Post, All the participants should use certain ruleset in their post and "Aim True" 🎯 ruleset is chosen for this week.

I have some thing new in my post started from this article to make it more fun and good looking. After some paragraph, You'll see my avatar😎 as below picture, I hope you like it. I make it by myself, pretty interesting and so fun :

That's how the avatar looks like. Alright, Let's have some discussion about The Epic Battle strategy with "Aim true" as the ruleset :

What is Aim True?

  Aim True : Melee and Ranged attacks always hit their target.  

The Basic ruleset in Splinterlands says that there's a chance for melee and ranged attack to miss their target if :

• The speed ⚡️ is different
• There are additional abilities to increase the chance to miss like : Blind , Dodge , Flying , and Phase

Fortunately, True Strike Ruleset negates all of the miss probability so all of the monsters attack will definitely hit the target, Don't worry about miss anymore! 😙

But Wait... There's 1 thing which is very important in this ruleset. It's the key to win any battle with true strike ability. Can you guess what is it?

The answer is speed⚡️, If your team has higher speed than your opponent, Then you have high probability to win the match. So the use of some abilities like Swiftness or slow is very important to increase the chance to win the match. Alright, Now Here is the explanation of some rulesets of the battle, mana and splinters available :

Rulesets

There are 3 rulesets in this battle, Here they are :

Aim true	Earthquake	Lost Legendaries
Melee and Ranged attacks always hit their target	Non-flying Monsters take 2 Melee damage at the end of each round	Legendary Monsters may not be used in battles

As we have discussed in the previous section, the key to win the Aim True 🎯Ruleset is to use monster who have high speed⚡️ and what about the other 2 rulesets (Earthquake and Lost Legendaries)?

Well, The most effective way to win earthquake ruleset is to use monsters with flying ability since they will be save from the -2 physical damage in each round. There are some abilities which we can use as well, like Heal or Shield abiliy. Heal ability will restore the health point while shield will reduce the damage into -1.

The Last ruleset is Lost legendaries, what do you think about the key to win this ruleset guys? Well, since the legendary cards are forbidden to use, we can only arrange team using common, rare and epic monsters. The key to win this ruleset is to remember some meta cards from each rarity, here is the example for water splinter :

Mana and Splinters

The battle has 29 Mana (Not really much for Gold League) 😕, and the splinters available are Fire, Water, Earth and Death.

Summoner

Level 3 Scarred Llama Mage

The idea to use this summoner is because the mana is low and Earth splinter is available so it's best to use llama to give monstrous strength 💪 to a single monster with Last Stand ability. At lower league. like bronze and silver, The most used monsters (who always been combined with llama) are Grund, Kron The Undying, Hydra, and Flesh Golem.

Tips 💡

In Gold League, there are much more options since we can find many monsters who have Heal ability like Pelacor Mercenary and Bramble Pixie. Llama is the key summoner which I will combine her with Pelacor Mercenary who have flying ability since the ruleset is earthquake.

First Monster

Level 8 Gargoya Lion

His role is to be a tank monster since he has Flying and Void which is pretty good to deal with the opponent's magic damage. Talking about defense, This card has 3 armor and 8 health points (additional 2 points from Scarred Llama Mage), enough to hold all of the opponent's attack for several rounds. In terms of attack, this card has 3 melee damage and 3 speed which is also good enough to inflict some damage to the opponent's tank monster.

Tips 💡

If it's posible, always use Flying monster in earth quake ruleset to prevent them from getting -2 damage each round due to earthquake

Second Monster

Level 2 Fungus Flinger

The purpose of this cards is a sacrifice to give all of the adjacent monsters additional point (+1) for all stats, either attack, speed, armour and health point (The sama as Blood lust ability ) effect. In this case, I tried to increase the stats of Gargoya Lion and Pelacor Mercenary. One mistake that I did in the past is to rise the level of this card into 2. I think the lower level, the better this card since we want him as a sacrifice.

Tips 💡

In order to get more advantage of the Martyr ability, try to put this card in the middle of two monsters to increase all stats of them.

Third Monster

Level 8 Pelacor Mercenary

This my ace card in the battle as we can see the Mercenary has Flying and Heal ability. These abilities make him one of the best summoner to be combined with Scarred Llama Mage. The last stand ability will increase his total health points into 18 and heal ability will make him able to restore 6 health points in each round. How crazy is that? So Last stand + heal build an Immortal monster in the battlefield.

Tips 💡

In small mana battle, Try to determine one strong monster to be combined with Llama and protect or strengthen the card with some other abilities from other monsters.

Forth Monster

Level 1 Venari Marksrat

The use of this card is the same as Fungus Flinger, to give additional point (+1) of all stats to the adjacent monsters so I put him next to Pelacor Mercenary and Halfling Alchemist. In terms of health point, this monster is better than Fungus Flinger since he has less health point (only 2) which makes him die faster that means he can activate the Martyr effect faster too.

Tips 💡

In my opionion, I would like to have lv.1 Venari Marksrat better then leveling him up because with him being level 1, he could activate Martyr effect faster after being killed.

Fifth Monster

Level 8 Halfling Alchemist

One thing that makes this card special is his ability to cut the opponent damage into half. Pretty useful to be used against tank monster who have very high damage or gladius card to reduce their massive attack as they have Bloodlust ability. However, I barely see this card used by my opponents, I think this card is very unpopular but in fact, it is very useful in either low, middle or high mana battle.

Tips 💡

Although Halfling ability can cut the opponent damage into half, the ability has no effect against monster who have Immune ability and also can be removed by Dispel ability.

Sixth Monster

Level 8 Chaos Agent

The last monster is Chaos Agent. The purpose of this monster is to avoid the opponent's sneak monster with his Dodge and pretty good speed (4). In small mana battle, The opponent tends to use Sneak team to attack the weak part of the team and Chaos Agent is the right monster to anticipate those kind of attacks. At maximum level, this card has backfire which can inflict damage of the opponent attack is miss, How cool is that?

Tips 💡

Building strong defense not only needed in the first position but also in the last position of the team.

Here is the battle looks like in the first round :

The opponent @zawarrior set 2 Flying monsters (Tower griffin and Spark Pixie) at the backline, 2 monsters with Scavenger ) abilties (Antoid Platoon and Parasitic Growth) as tank monsters and deadly monsters with low health points (Serpentine Spy and Exploding Rats) and we can see his total attack is 18 damage points! Wow, that's huge attack definitely. Let's compare it with my team which only 9 damage initial attack. However the right strategy at certain mana will always win the battle.

Pelacor vs Everybody

This is the final battle where Pelacor who got increased all stats by 2 due to Martyr
ability and again, boosted all of his stats by Last Stand effect given by Llama against the fire team who has 14 total damage. With his 8 damage, he can kill fire team slowly, started from Antoid Platoon, while the melee monsters who have no Flying ability got -2 damage and died. The ranged attack monsters could not attack from the first position. The match is over, llama team won the battle.

Pretty happy with 3 Chaos Legion Packs, those 3 packs are giving back my rental cost that means all cards I use for Brawl, Tournament and Daily Grinding for 2 days are free, Very exciting 😆. Summoner's Tribe is always very superior in all of their brawl, even when we are in the same group with Immortal Gods, we finished first with quite huge margin (66 points or 22 wins). We got 215 crowns, 12286 merits and 254.239 SPS as rewards. In addition, as we are the only guild in Tier 5, we always got 404.3 SPS for free (It's been more than 10 brawl cycles), How cool is that? 😁
