THE BENEFIT OR THE RISK…

Acting as a whistleblower is one of the most dangerous task a man can be assigned to undertake, the risk attached to being a whistleblower is more than the reward one would ever get, the danger that lies ahead if one eventually gets caught on the job is the most scary part of the job. The most risky aspect of being a whistleblower is the fact that if one eventually gets caught, a lot of people including ones family and loved ones would have to suffer the consequences, which is why the risk involved is quite higher than the reward attached, especially if one’s identity would later be revealed at the end of the whole mission…

I have seen the end results of whistleblowers in movies, i have seen what befell those who gets caught on the job and I’ve also seen what became of those who successfully made it through the mission, they were rewarded greatly but then the people who were close to them in the long run got caught up in the wild fire, this was because they were likely to be an accomplice in the whole process, I won’t want to put my family and loved ones to be in this situation…

Being a whistleblower is a dangerous job, especially when there’s a chance of one’s identity being revealed later on, which brings us to the topic of the day;

Can you decide to leak secrets about the unfairness and injustice that goes on in your society? If you'll be protected and rewarded, will you be willing to be a whistleblower? However, everyone will know what you've done and will not like you for it…

A BIG NO TO BEING A WHISTLEBLOWER…

I think my answer to this question is quite clear and simple, i have literally shared my two cents about the risks attached to being a whistleblower up above, but then if you want a straightforward answer then i can also do that. I’d never be a whistleblower for any reason, with or without the risk of having my identity revealed later on, this is because i choose to put my family and loved ones first, I won’t risk their lives and safety for a reward and one man protection…

It is expected of me to put my family and loved ones first before any other person, which is why i will choose to keep mute and have a society that remains rotten and still be loved by everyone, I believe this is what many would do in a situation like this…

If there’s anything i have learnt from life in the last couple’s of decades, it’s the fact that people would go to the extreme lengths just to get back at you for anything you’ve done wrong to them, as long as it is of disadvantage to them, they’d surely want to get their revenge and that is when they start playing dirty by targeting loved ones and family members…

It would have been different case if my identity as the whistleblower could be kept confidential and well hidden from the society, revealing my identity as the whistleblower to the public is like tossing me into the lions den to be left eaten by the hungry lions…

The world at large is filled with different levels of injustice and unfairness, this is not something new, injustice and unfairness has been in existence long before i was born, and I don’t think it will be ending anytime soon. I am used to the unfairness and the injustice that goes on in my country at large, which is why I won’t be too bothered about the small level of injustice and unfairness that goes on within my society, especially if my identity is bound to be revealed to the public as the whistleblower. We have been doing well so far in this regard, so I believe we can do better in enduring till the end…

There is no guaranteed protection anywhere. If i choose to become a whistleblower by leaking the secrets about the unfairness and injustice that goes on within my society, i will be going against a lot of strong people in the society, and with the fact of being revealed to the public as the whistleblower, it makes the whole process more dangerous and risky…

In conclusion, I think i will put my family and loved ones first in this case, which means i will choose to be quiet about the injustice and unfairness that goes on within my society to safe my family and loved ones from danger. I choose to be quiet and safe than to be a whistleblower and be in harms way, if not for myself I would love to think about the well being of those around me…
