If there is one special thing i love most about car trips and travels, it is the conversations that goes on between other passengers like me in the back seats. The joy and happiness that comes from witnessing other passengers like me in a car discussing and exchanging words on a trip over unnecessary and insensitive matters is one like no other, it is a different laughter medicine on its own, and that is one of the things i enjoy most about car trips…

Looking out the window and feeling the breeze that comes from the speed of the car is a very beautiful experience, I just love looking out the windows, and doing this keep me updated on the beautiful and ugly places around the world, car trips can sometimes be fun and exciting, and there are times it doesn’t end well, only few people can relate…

When it comes to car trips, i don’t take it for granted for many reasons, I don’t like entering a life threatening car for trips, which is why i pay utmost attention to many important things before going out on car trips, things like the condition of the car i am boarding and the driver of the car are two things I don’t take for granted when going on trips…

I am known for one thing by my siblings and mom when going on car trips, i always make sure I carefully access the state of the car to know if it’s in a good condition for such a long trip, and most importantly i access the driver of the car to know the level of our safety during the trip, and sometimes these trips end well and sometimes they don’t, and that is because all the mishaps mostly occur when we are half way through our journey…

So without wasting more time on my introduction to the topic, i will be diving right into what i have for you all today, and what do i have for you all?, i will be talking about my craziest car experience, so join me on this short and interesting ride of a lifetime…

The fear of this particular incident has been the very source of my fear for heights, this incident made me very fearful of large water bodies, and ever since this incident happened, i made it a point of duty to never pass that bridge again until i was over the fear, what happened and how it happened is what i am going to talk about in the next few paragraphs;…

On this fateful day, my dad’s boss at genevieve magazine invited us to come visit him at his residence on the HIGHLAND, we got this beautiful piece of information from my dad and immediately we all went inside to prepare ourselves for the outing of the day, minutes after we set out for the trip, my sibling and i…

In no time we got to our destination in one piece and being kids, his first daughter whom we had always spoken to over the phone decided to take us shopping at ShopRite to give us the best day ever…

We spent few hours shopping and we decided to head back home after getting varieties of things, we got home minutes later and we were served hot FRIED RICE, CHICKEN, CHICKEN PRANKS & CHILLED DRINK upon our arrival, and before we knew it we were all done…

After the meal we headed to the sitting room and watched some movies until it was time to go home, we bade everyone goodbye and also thanked them for hosting us, it was really a nice day with them, after saying our goodbyes, we moved out to get a bus to transport us to our next bus stop before taking another one…

After highlighting down from the first bus, we walked out a bit, my dad, my elder sister and i. We took the next bus, a bus that was supposed to take us over the third mainland bridge before finally getting a bus to convey us home…

We entered the bus and sat at the back of the driver, the bus started moving at an average speed, everything was looking peaceful and enjoyable as the bus kept on going with an average speed on the bridge…

We continue moving until the craziest thing happened, before we knew it, it was a loud bust of our front tyre, which made our driver lost control of the car, everyone was so scared, and before we knew it, our car had hit the rails of the third mainland bridge, this was the first time i saw a large water body at close range…

Our car was hanging between the rails, and before we knew it, we were rescued and our car was pulled out, and thankfully nobody sustained any major injuries, our driver and the passenger in front were safe and sound, and i on the other hand never felt the same way after that incident, this was how I developed the fear of large water bodies and that of heights…

In summary, this accident is something I will never forget in my life, and ever since that day, i have never crossed that bridge again because i still remember it like it happened yesterday, this experience is something i will never want to experience again, i can still even feel the fear i had on that day writing about it now…

In conclusion, I believe one day i will have the courage to travel on that bridge once again, but for now i am okay being on the other side of the bridge, it really wasn’t a nice experience but i am happy we were all safe that day…
