KNOWING AND UNDERSTANDING YOUR NICHE SKILLS ✅✅

I woke up this morning and the first thing that came to my mind was the word "niche", I was worried and bothered by the word at first and mainly because it was the first word that popped up in my head immediately I woke up from bed so it was kind of strange lol, I guess it was because I slept last night thinking of what to write this morning and that was what made me wake up with that particular word niche in my head...

After delegating on that word for minutes, I decided to go after that particular word and guess what guys?
I don't know the real meaning of that word and I have been using it for the last 9 months without having to learn or know what it truly means lol, is that not strange lol, I joined the hive blockchain 9 months ago and the first word I grasped upon my arrival was "niche", this word is one of most commonly used word on the hive blockchain and if you think I am wrong please correct me or prove me wrong...

I remember vividly when I joined 9 months ago, the first set of friends I made actually threw the word at me first, it came in form of a question and it was asked like this; what is your niche????, it was very strange yet funny because at that moment I didn't know the meaning of that word because it was my first time hearing it lol, they asked me the question and they still helped me by breaking it down the more, they were like; what is your main focus as a writer like what do you mainly talk about in all your blogs hehehe, with them saying this I immediately grasped the meaning and gave them the appropriate answer and that was how I figured out the word "niche" meant something like one's area of focus or specialization as a writer/blogger and since then I have been using that same word not until today when I found out the word is slightly wrong in that aspect, I meant it is wrong to an extent not totally wrong though lol and I will prove that further in the below paragraphs lol...

Niche according to my Google search has two different meanings based on their parts of speech;

• NICHE : a comfortable or suitable position in life or employment...
• NICHE : a specialized segment of the market for a particular kind of product or service...

NB: the above definition are Google generated answers...

The above definitions are nothing similar to what we all actually think the word "niche" actually meant which only means we all have gotten it wrong from the start but fret not because as I said above, it is correct to an extent and now I am going to provide you all with the appropriate word that actually means all what we all have been saying for weeks, months and probably years so as to be equipped in the future...

The word we all have been actually looking for is called NICHE SKILLS, oh yes it's niche skill lol the only word we all missed was the skills that is needed to be added for it to give us that appropriate meaning we all want and thanks to Google as my source I got the definition I wanted and that is what I am going to share with you all below;

- NICHE SKILLS: A niche skill is a specialized ability or expertise in a particular area...

If you have been with me throughout the beginning of my post, you would understand better that the most appropriate word that can be used to describe our area of expertise, area of concentration, center of focus in relationship to blogging is the word "niche skills"...

In summary, niche skills is simply that particular area you are very good at pertaining to blogging, each and everyone of us have our own particular niche skills and when it comes to niche skills, it can be finance related topics, relationships & marriages, everyday life, economy and general topics, the fact is that each and every one of us have our roots buried deep in the ground when it comes to our niche skills...

That is to say no one can beat us at our niche skills and that is the beauty of having a niche skills, using myself as a clear example of having a niche skill, I fall in the general aspect of niche skills that is I am very good at any given topic excluding finance related topics, oh yeah it is one of my weakness but with the 9 months I have spent on the hive blockchain, I decided to get better at finance related posts and here I am today doing my best in writing about finance posts...

This means I can write on any given topic but my main niche skills is writing on fictional and non fictional stories, I can write an imaginative post that will look real to my audience on any given topic provided I have either heard, seen or experience it before and that is one of my strength as a blogger and I am sure we have people like me too on the hive blockchain that can make an imaginative story look real...

KNOWING AND UNDERSTANDING YOUR NICHE SKILLS!! 

Knowing and understanding your niche skills is one of the best way to survive as a blogger on either hive blockchain or any other blogging platforms you know, if you don't know your niche skills, you will never understand your strengths and weaknesses as a writer and at the end of the day your career as a blogger might not improve and you will continue to find yourself in a point without growth...

This post is for everyone on the hive blockchain but I will like to direct this to the newbies of the hive blockchain, if you don't understand your niche skills, you will find every topic difficult to write on and that will take you nowhere as a writer...

In my early days as a writer, I came across @starstrings01's post in the hive learners community and I decided to give his post a thorough reading, what attracted me to his post was the reward it had and I was inspired to peep into the main content of the write up and I was left in shock after I read his post, it was a post educating the newbies of hive how to survive on the blockchain, reading his post made me like him and from there I started following him everywhere and from there I found his friend @josediccus, another awesome writer on the hive blockchain💙💜❤️, sorry for tags bosses but I will love to use you both as a case study for everyone reading this today...

I started studying @starstrings01 since my time here as a newbie and even till now I still follow him everywhere to learn something new from him and through my thorough investigation, I will say I have known him to be someone like me or should I say I am someone like him lol, any which way lol he was here before me so I will go for I am someone like him, I realized starstrings is a general writer like me and means it is quite hard for me to discover his niche skills because from my observations he writes on any topic given and from there I couldn't figure out his main niche skills but I could tell that he understood perfectly what his niche skills is and with that he has grown beyond limitations on the hive blockchain and he is still growing...

My point of using stars as a case study is that if he had not understood his niche skills perfectly well, he might be able to write on all topics but there won't be utmost perfection in everything but because he took time to understand himself as a writer, he was able to find his strength in all topics and with him making everything his strength and that is that about that...

Let's move to @josediccus lolz, omo this my boss post takes me nothing less than 30 minutes to read lol, I am very serious guys, his posts are mostly finance related write ups and finance related post is my achilies heels as a writer lol and that is why I spend lots of minutes reading his posts...

At the end of the day I run away from his blog before I collapse because I am not a fan of finance lol but from the few I have read I got to know that his niche skills is finance related post and because he understands and knows it perfectly well, he has been making progress as a writer and that is the beauty of knowing and understanding your niche skills...

I am sure everyone knows both stars and Jose, they both are one hell of a badass writers lol, one is OG in general topics and the other is an OG in finance related topics and his favorite community is Leo finance lol, if you want to find @josediccus, go to Leo finance and if you want to find @starstrings01 go to hive learners community lol, respect bosses...

Funny enough his post are not hard to understand but to me it is hard because I dont like stressing my brain lol and most importantly I haven't taken my brain to that level that is why I find it hard to understand lol...

From my investigation I am sure @josediccus has other niche skills too but he prefers to write on his strength because he is very good at what he does and I respect him for that as a fellow writer and his junior ...

The main point of using this two beautiful people as a case study is to tell you and convince you that they both have mastered their niche skills at their early time as a blogger and that has contributed to their all around growth on the hive blockchain and I truly respect both of them in their respective niche skills...

In summary, you need to know and understand your niche skills before aiming for perfection as a writer, you can possess more than one niche skills just like those tow seniors I mentioned up there @starstrings01 and @josediccus, for you to make progress as a writer you need to know what are good at, I mean a topic where by even if you are given in bed to write on it, you will chew it up in pieces and give out good result and that is is the beauty of it...

I have seen them write on other niche skills apart from their main and it still stood out amongst many, every product of the newbies initiative program discovers their niche skills while they are going through the program and if you don't know your niche skills yet, I will advise you to please Join in the next batch of the newbies initiative program because it will help you out not only now but in the future as well take it or leave it, ask @hopestylist @justfavour @nkemakonam89 @olujay @vickoly and others, they are all a product of the newbies initiative program...

If you know and understand your niche skills, even if it's only in a particular area, I bet you will make progress in it with constant hard work and dedication, the point of it is that you need recognize and make it your strength at all times...

It is not a must for you to possess all niche skill before you can be successful as a writer, you can be good at either fictional, non fictional or finance related posts, anyone you are good at just pick it up and make it your strength that no one can cajole you on and if you are a general writer like me then you can grow in everything without having any issue in your success...

In conclusion, know and understand your niche skills before you start your career as a blogger before you start having problems as writer...

It is very important to know and understand your niche skills before journeying into your career as a blogger, along the way you can get better at other niche skills but first know and understand your main niche skills before going further because you might end up messing up everything and at the end of the day you have nothing to look back to when it gets bad...
