A quick peep into my past and I realized I never got to live like a normal teenage all my life, I am sure you all might be finding this weirdly strange and funny lol, well I am very serious right now, I have my reasons for saying I never got to live like a normal teenager because all fingers are not equal...
I grew up with the mentality of hustling and bustling when I cross a particular age, I started preparing for my adulthood long before I became a teenager lol, I knew the situation of the country and also the family I come from and because of that I made up my mind at a very early age that I will make sure I hustle my ass out to fund myself of some basic things in my life and while growing up everything started falling into place just as I wanted it to because I had prepared for that particular time...
Whenever my mates and friends are thinking of how to lavish their money including their savings on irrelevant things, my thoughts are always on how to double my money through different means including gambling and staking and thanks to that mentality I was able to make lots of achievements as a teenager...
It is indeed a fact that there will be a time where you will not be able to ask your parents for some certain things not because you are scared but because you are at that age where you think you don't need to ask them for funds for these things because you are capable of finding your own way and that is when you sense teenage hood/adulthood setting place....
I was also like that and I am still like that and thanks to my early preparation ahead of adulthood, I am now used to taking care of myself with or without my parents help, I am aiming to be a man who is capable of finding his own way in life and that is my goal....
I started making money since my high school days and that should be around my senior secondary time to be precise...

The first work I did that started earning me money was being a home lesson teacher(children come to meet me at home for lesson and from there I decided to monetize it and that was how I started collecting #50 from each child back then to support myself) and from there I was able to save up some money for one thing I have always wanted to have in my life and because my parents won't get it for me not until I gain admission into higher institution, I decided to save up both my feeding allowance and also the pennies I make from home lesson to buy myself something I need to survive....
I was in SS1 back then when I started teaching all my neighborhood kids lesson and I was also a student collecting #100 for both feeding allowance and lesson fee and I decided to enroll myself in daily thrift and contributions, I started saving my feeding allowance from SS1 to SS3, I saved my feeding allowance for good 5 years but I cashed it out after 3 years to buy that which I have been wanting to have for years and I continued saving when I found a good job after graduating high school...
It wasn't easy staying hungry all because I wanted to make sure I didn't miss a day of my contribution and that was when I decided to join the gambling squad and thanks to gambling I was able to keep up with my daily contribution and I also had extra money to feed myself in school, it wasn't easy because I lost some money but I won big several times that it covered all my loss in the past lol...
Gambling is sweet when you are winning but the moment you start loosing, your blood starts getting hot and you keep on staking thinking you will win it back but at end of the day, you end up loosing all lol, gambling is kinda crazy lol...

The dream of owing an android phone started from my time as a junior high schooler, back then most of my friends own at least one browsing phone and I never had access to a small phone not to talk more of an android phone...
I wanted an android phone but my dad wont get me one not sure until I make my waec or gain admission into higher institution, it was too long but because of my good behavior I was gifted a small phone, a NOKIA 3310 to be precise and after tasting Facebook on it, I never stopped wanting more and that was when I made up my mind to save my feeding allowance to buy myself an android device, if dad won't get me one, I will get one for myself by all means possible...
I got to SS1 and enrolled in a daily contribution of #50 daily, thanks gambling and board man I was able to pay more than the required amount and was still living fine...
After 3 years I graduated high school and by then I already had about #35,000 as my savings and I decided to hustle a bit more to round it up to #45,000...
Thanks to a friend I was teaching lesson after high school, I was able to save more and one day I woke up and called my sister's boyfriend back then that I wanted to buy a new android phone that he should suggest me one good one...
After showing me two different reigning devices back then I decided to go with TECNO POP 4 because of its battery capacity and size, after checking the online price I decided to pay my thrift collector a visit to cash out part of my contribution...
I got to her and presented my thrift card and told her i wanted to cash out #35,000, she asked me hope no problem and I said I wanted to get myself a phone before finding myself a new job and from there I will continue from where I stopped...

Immediately she went inside to arranged the money and gave it to me in cash and immediately I called my sister's bf and asked him to meet up and I counted the money out again in cash and gave to him and after hours my phone arrived and that was the beginning of a new era...
My siblings and mum started calling me Omo tan so( the child they are talking about lol), at first everyone asked me how I got the money to buy this big phone, I laughed and sighed and told everyone how I got my first android phone without asking for help from anybody, I told them how I saved up my feeding allowance for good 3 years to get this phone and they were short of words lol...
I saved up my feeding allowance, lesson fees and transport fare to buy myself an android phone and that was how I started living my life and everything started getting easier and better, till today my dad never knew I bought that phone with my money all thanks to constant hunger and fast plus gambling lol...
In summary, it wasn't easy starving myself to save up that huge amount of money just because I needed a phone but it was worth it and because of that sacrifice I was able to make some worthy and deserving communications...
In conclusion, I am now a bigger boy lol, I am using my second android phone and I will boldly hit my chest to tell you nobody's money was included in it when I decided to change from TECNO POP 4 to TECNO SPARK 8...
Thanks to my hard work and perseverance I was able to buy something worth more than I bought back in high school, it was a worthy sacrifice indeed and I am proud of myself and my achievements...

In fact, if you want a higher phone today, you don't need to save for 3yrs. Just command your hive earnings by withdrawing and that's all 😅😅😅
Wow i was reading through this and I noticed you are my replicate 😄😄 mine in secondary school i save up my lunch money just to get s smart phone for myself and it was never easy. But the goal of owning a new smart phone was too strong to bark off and i made it. Good one @quduus1
Village people won't allow me save in my secondary school days, once the money reach 500 naira like this, that is when i will be craving for some delicacy lol... you really try being able to save up such huge amount

Wow, you had to save for 3 years? I salute your determination and it took me a year and few months because I was doing menial jobs when school is not on and it helped saved quickly.
There is a lot of story to every one first phone, e feeling of buying something with your money back then was superb.
