INTELLIGENCE is a two way thing, not everyone is intelligent as a result of going to school, school is just a major contribution to being intelligent, I have seen different sets of people who is either a primary school drop out or didn't even go to school at all and yet they are still very brilliant....

They are more brilliant than some people who went to school their whole life but the fact is that with education they will be outstanding and independent, being an illiterate will make one dependent on others which in most cases can be a challenge, it is best to be educated to prevent that...

Just as how education doesn't guarantee your success in life is the same way how going to school doesn't guarantee you being intelligent...

I have come across a lot of people in my journey of life, most of these people had the best education but still yet they were still not intelligent..

There are countless number of people who are intelligent and making prosperity in whatever they do even with the lack of education in their life, are you saying education make them who they are???

Back to the topic of the day, I have said it before in my Introduction that being intelligent is a two way thing, now I am going expatiate more on why being intelligent is a two way thing...

INTELLIGENCE AS A TWO WAY THING👈👉

The first aspect is ACADEMICAL INTELLIGENCE : Going to school and getting good grades Is indeed a measure of intelligence, that is something we all know, even copying and pasting other people's work requires intelligence, if you are not intelligent enough, there is possibilty that while copying the work you will copy the sources name and submit it like that without noticing it...

That is to say, getting good grades in school is a measure of intelligence no matter the means of the good result...

This kind of intelligence is what we call school intelligence, you can be intelligent academically but still be an illiterate regarding the things of the world, that is too say you are only ACADEMICALLY INTELLIGENT and not intelligent in general knowledge...

IMG-20221010-WA0020.jpg

The second aspect is LIFE INTELLIGENCE: This is another important thing you need to know, the people who are privileged to go to school and study and after that they get good grades will mostly not know and understand anything about the life of the ones who is uneducated...

They will be ignorant of the fact that life is not a bed full of roses and there is a real and tough challenge outside the world because they don't have experience of it yet, it is the ones who are outside Hussling for themselves that will know how to manoeuvres some life challenges because they are taught how to do that and whereas a school nerd can fall Victim to it irrespective of how brilliant or intelligent he or she is, the fact is that his intelligence are limited to the school walls while the uneducated ones, their intelligence starts outside the school walls and beyond...

My point is that you can't only get intelligent because you are going to school, there is a higher possiblity that going to school might even make it worse and not going to school too also doesn't determine that one isn't brilliant..

IMG-20221010-WA0020.jpg

Some people's intelligence comes from the teaching outside the school premises while others get it within the school premises, anything is possible provided the fact that you are willing to learn...

In summary, going to school and not having the mind to learn is a waste of time and resources , you need to be willing to learn to be intelligent and that makes willingness a factor to being intelligent...

In conclusion, school is a factor that contributes to being intelligent and it doesn't mean it is guaranteed, you have to be willing before you can be intelligent and even the uneducated ones too can be intelligent without having to go to school...

You're right, being the mist intelligent student in the classroom doesn't necessarily mean it will be the sane in the real world.

It is true what you said about intelligence, it's indeed a two way time, and education is not a sure perfect route towards being intelligent, went we open our mind and work with with intelligence people, the We'll learn from them gradually.

Personally I prefer the following separation:

  • knowledge - the amount of information one gathered - that can certainly be improved in school, but there are other sources of knowledge that some people might prefer, like observation and experience. The opposite of knowledge is ignorance. Computers have beaten humans in that regard long ago.
  • intelligence or sharpness of mind - it can also be improved in schools, but more as through training and finding / establishing shortcuts (note that shortcuts in thinking can also lead to errors). A lot of intelligence comes from your [epi]genetics - that part is exposed when you are forced to deal with new situation that you have not trained your brain for. When you train your intelligence at school only, the effects of your training will be limited to the fields tackled at school. The opposite of sharpness is dullness / obtuseness. Since intelligence is basically an computational power over data, again, albeit still only in narrow fields, computers best humans in that field as well.
  • wisdom - that is the least defined feature. A mixture of elements that were built into us by nature as homo sapiens, conscience, culture, upbringing and morals. Can be somewhat trained in school, but can also be crushed there (through obedience training). An essence of what makes us humans. The opposite would be stupidity. Computers are innately stupid.

So, we have data (knowledge), the processing power to deal with it (intelligence) and the ability to direct the two for proper goal (wisdom).

I think you've nailed a strong idea on this one, the responsibility we all have to WANT to learn. And, howdy to my friend quduus, hope you're well.

The uneducated once can also be intelligence too, but then education add more to being intelligence education shows more way and add more knowledge so we can contribute our own quota to the development of the society. I totally agree with you boss.

Yeah there are a lot of people that go to school with the wrong mindset. They go there because of peer pressure and at the end their mission of going to school is not accomplished. They end up paying for the good grades and are portrayed intelligent in the society. They have graduated with good grades and they are as well very intelligent.

School doesn't guarantee 100% intelligence just like you said but the eagerness to be.

Nice point...
Intelligence is in two way both academically and life intelligence.
One can be book smart and not life smart.....
These days grades are just a figure everyone want to get but it doesn't Really mean they are intelligent....all na la cram la pour during exam.
They study to pass and not study to understand.

Very correct... While schools contribute to intelligence,or is not a given. There are a log of other factors that come into play.

Thank you for sharing this with us.

You have made good points here, intelligence is a two-way thing, if you feel it is only gotten from going to school may be thoughts
