CASH REWARDS AREN'T OBLIGATORY...

It's been four beautiful years since I graduated from high school. I miss everything about high school, my friends, teachers, the school environment, seniors, the competitions, and every other thing. The highlights of my high school days are the people I met, the competitions, the joint work, and our mischievous moments. The shared meals and covering up for each other's mistakes were truly beautiful, it showed how much we love one another. I can't help but miss everything whenever I think back to those beautiful and crazy moments...

High school was fun and interesting for me for many reasons. I had great friends and I was fortunate enough to be born with a brilliant mind and brain, and thanks to this special quality of mine, I always stood out in school both because of my brilliance and my stubborn nature....

I believe all fingers are not equal, which means not everyone is born naturally with a brilliant mind, and for this reason, I have always taught myself to be humble and accommodating enough to carry my peers and friends along whenever they feel lost. feeling left out is not a good thing, I have been there before, which is why I try my best to never leave them behind, but humans will forever remain humans, you can't satisfy the needs of men at all times...

In the aspect of toppers and best students, I have always been amongst the toppers of my school. when an examination or mid-term-test is near, I never take reading and studying for granted, and that is because remaining at the top is a long-term goal of mine, reading ahead of tests and exams has always been my trick, it's been working for me for years...

There is something we call PRIZE-GIVING DAY in my school, on this day the best students and the constant toppers of each class are called out, acknowledged, congratulated, and handed prizes for their all-time consistency and dedication towards their education, which brings us to today's topic...

    CASH REWARD IS NOT COMPULSORY...

When it comes to recognizing students for their academic achievements, offering a cash reward is not a must, it's not compulsory. It can be given, but it's not mandatory. Speaking for myself, I don't think I would want a cash reward for my academic accomplishments. I would prefer a scholarship and textbooks instead. This type of recognition is much more valuable to me than being rewarded with cash, and that is why we have prize-giving days...

Honestly, offering students monetary rewards is not a crime, it doesn't change the fact that the school appreciates its students for being outstanding and brilliant, at the end of the day it all depends on the capability of the school, if they can offer a monetary reward, there is no harm in giving some cash out to appreciate the students. This will help other unserious students put in more effort...

I also believe giving out monetary rewards won't always end well, especially when it is not presented in an encouraging manner, which makes the manner of delivery an important factor to consider, don't make other students feel left out or belittled in the aspect of encouraging other brilliant minds, let them know they can be next if they manage to overtake this people, enlighten them on healthy competition to prevent enmity and bad bloods...

In summary, I don't see giving out monetary rewards as a means to appreciate academic brilliance as a bad deed, it is a good deed no doubt, but don't forget the manner of delivery, it goes a long way in calming the others, but to be on the safer side, I think handing out scholarships and textbooks is a much better alternative...

In conclusion, appreciating and acknowledging academic brilliance is a reasonable thing in the long run, and the best thing we can do to encourage these students to keep doing better is to acknowledge and appreciate them in diverse ways. This way they will be more focused and determined to keep getting better and better...
