My Thought of The Incoming Rainy Season

I decided to go to the beach because it was unbearably hot and humid. A few days ago, I wrote a post saying that the rainy season had officially started in Bali. Well, I guess I have to admit I was wrong; it’s back to the usual heat.

I realize that sometimes I think the dry season is better. We can enjoy activities outside, spend the day at the beach, and work as usual—especially for me, working as a tour guide who relies so much on the weather. When it rains, tourists often prefer to stay at the hotel rather than go on day trips, which means no work for me.

It’s just that the heat can sometimes feel so unbearable.

When I arrived at the beach, I noticed so many people there. It was Sunday afternoon, so of course there were families with kids, young couples, and others spending their time walking, talking, or riding bicycles. This doesn’t happen when it rains.

I saw people selling food and others renting out bicycles by the beach. Restaurants were busy with visitors, and there were even kayaks available for rent for those looking to enjoy the water.

All I can say is, business is good.

Imagine if there were heavy rain—this beach would be quiet. No visitors, no business. Just like for me: no work. So, while the heat may be unbearable, at least it allows me to work. I guess I don’t mind the heat after all.
